MN Gov. Tim Pawlenty is soooo dumb...
... he actually thought Bruce Springsteen wasn't political.

:wtf:

http://wcco.com/localnews/local_story_219104819.html

Minneapolis (AP) Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty said he's "heartbroken" that Bruce Springsteen is planning to rock against President Bush.

Opening his weekly radio show Friday with "Born to Run," the 43-year-old Pawlenty called Springsteen one of his musical idols.

"I really appreciate his music, but I wish he wouldn't interject his music with politics," said Pawlenty, who co-chairs Bush's re-election campaign in Minnesota.

Springsteen and REM will perform Oct. 5 at St. Paul's Xcel Energy Center as part of a series of concerts being staged in nine swing states across the country to oppose Bush's re-election.

With Springsteen being one of idols, it's surprising Pawlenty never listened to Springsteen's lyrics.

1. Tell you what
If Toby Keith, Charlie Daniels and Lee Greenwood would do that do, we've got a deal.

4. He's probably one of those people who thought that
"Born in the U.S.A." was a flag-waving, Reagan-worshipping anthem.

Such people are akin to those who think that "Every Breath You Take" is romantic.

i.e. They don't listen to the words.

5. Politicians should simply keep their nose out of entertainment matters.
They really know nothing about music, film, dance, and art. They should just keep passing their laws, and whatever else it is they do, you know, wars and stuff. And leave the entertainment to us artist. Cheez.

Why would that not surprise me one little bit?

On edit for Minnesota DUers - OK, what's the word? Who's dumber - Pawlenty or Coleman?

7. Makes you want Arnie Carlson back, doesn't it?
Or even John (teenage hot tub) Grunseth!

Or Rudy (fleece the Phillipines out of plywood) Boschwitz, or Dave (the swindler) Durenberger.

Yep, that crazy Minnesota GOP.
