At least Kerry is reaching out to the opposing side.
On his bullet train tour, Kerry went into areas of Colorado that are Republican and my local news showed opinions of the Kerry rally, mainly from Bush supporters. I am disappointed that they did not show the other side. So, I am wondering, the next time that Bush has a rally in Colorado, will they show the opinions of Kerry supporters? Oh, wait, I forgot, Bush now requires a loyalty oath to get into his rallys.

My point is, that Kerry is trying to reach out to people that are traditionally on the other side of the fence politically. That is more than I can say for Bush, who has spent time shoring up his base.

1. I agree

I like it. NO, we are not really interested in getting the "Tim McVeigh" vote, but there are a lot of good people on that side of the fence that are wanting another choice. JK is giving them one.

2. this is an important point
Because Kerry doesn't have to spend much time on his base right now, he is able to reach out for crossover votes.
