I feel good.
What happened over the course of the past two days should make every Democrat feel good.

George freaking Bush* launched an unprecedented attack while addressing the leaders of a foreign nation against one of our Dem leaders. The republican nominee was asked to respond and joined in the attack.

Barack Obama reacted swiftly and forcefully. The Democratic party rallied around Obama, and spoke in one voice--the Democratic voice. Yesterday's entire news coverage was dominated by this story and was quite favorable to Obama and the Democratic party as a whole.

Democrats are displaying not only spine, but also the willingness to counter punch with such ferocity that it made McCain and the gop look silly, week, and just plain wrong.

Democrats are unified.

It feels good to be a Democrat. :) :woohoo: :bounce: :toast:

2. I agree...
Obama made me very proud to be a Democrat:

“I want to be perfectly clear with George Bush and John McCain, and with the people of South Dakota,” he said at a Watertown campaign stop. “If George Bush and John McCain want to have a debate about protecting the United States of America, that is a debate that I'm happy to have any time, any place and that is debate I will win because George Bush and John McCain have a lot to answer for.”

He said both Bush and McCain “have a lot to answer for” over the war in Iraq and the failure to find Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda’s continuing strength, among other continuing foreign policy problems. “They are going to have to explain why it is that Iran is able to fund Hezbollah and poses the greatest threat to America and Israel and the Middle East in a generation. That's the Bush-McCain record on protecting this country.

NOW THAT'S HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE!!!

8. A thing of beauty
I really loved that aspect of his remarks, the "...George Bush and John McCain have a lot to answer for.”

4. Yep.
Bush delivered a speech that someone like Cheney or Rove prepared for him, and Obama responded in a way they can't control or manipulate.

5. So far we've been lucky that the whole world does not judge us by Bush...
it is that luxury that makes you feel good when Bush further tarnishes our reputation. If they start taking him at face value, we're screwed.
