22. These are my opinions. It is what I see when I listen to him speak. I don't trust him,
I don't like him and I think he will make a terrible president. He is bullying by claiming victory based on win in the PDs when the rules say that you need a majority of all delegates. And he is smearing anyone who disagrees by suggesting that they lack his commitment to democracy.

This is what I feel like when I hear Obama talk. I think he believes that he is better then me. And he wants me to smarten up and join his revolution. No thanks.

Good luck with that "new coalition" I keep hearing about.

CLINTON ALLIES SUPPRESS THE VOTE IN NEVADA...
On Meet the Press on Sunday, Hillary Clinton said her campaign had nothing to do with a lawsuit--written about by Nation Editor Katrina vanden Heuvel--that threatens to prevent thousands of workers from voting in the Nevada caucus on Saturday.
Back in March, the Nevada Democratic Party agreed to set up caucus locations on the Vegas strip for low-income shift workers, many of them members of the state's influential Culinary Union, who commute long distances to work and wouldn't be able to get home in time to caucus. It was an uncontroversial idea until the Culinary Union endorsed Barack Obama and the Nevada State Education Association, whose top officials support Clinton, sued to shut down the caucus sites.
The Clinton camp played dumb until yesterday, when President Clinton came out in favor of the lawsuit.
Clinton's comments drew a heated response from D. Taylor, the head of Nevada's Culinary Union, on MSNBC's Hardball. "He is in support of disenfranchising thousands upon thousands of workers, not even just our members," Taylor said of Clinton. "The teachers union is just being used here. We understand that This is the Clinton campaign. They tried to disenfranchise students in Iowa. Now they're trying to disenfranchise people here in Nevada, who are union members and people of color and women."
Rank-and-file members of Nevada's teachers union also come out against the lawsuit filed by their leadership. "We never thought our union and Senator Clinton would put politics ahead of what's right for our students, but that's exactly what they're doing," the letter stated. "As teachers, and proud Democrats, we hope they will drop this undemocratic lawsuit and help all Nevadans caucus, no matter which candidate they support."
The lawsuit's opponents make a persuasive point. Creating obstacles to voting is what the GOP does to Democrats, not what Democrats should be doing to other Democrats.

you Obama maniacs are really something.. .if someone disagrees with you, they are evil racists... or they believe in Santa Claus... very funny coming from a BO lover who is the ultimate fairy tale... he has nothing to offer but promises and fluff!

I work with the party and know many party leaders including super-delegates... nationally known figures... I hear a lot! I call people, 100's of calls from lists of democrats who are also involved... and I talk to a lot of these involved people... people who organized caucuses in their districts.. not help, lead -top person! and I really do not expect you to believe hear-say... but it is not hear-say to me.. it is reality and I hear it over and over!

so, I have no respect for Obama and his campaign... they are not fooling me... you can believe what you want.... it is a free country!

93. Thats funny I feel that way about HRC ....
Edwards was my original pick, and when he dropped out, I was very disappointed. I should have know better then to get caught up on one candidate from going through the 2004 election.

I was leaning toward Obama, but it took me a while before actually supporting him and eventually voting for him in the primary.

After HRC's Bosnia story the choice was clear to me. Someone running for the highest office in the land should not be making up such stories. This is something that children do. After that story I can't believe a word that comes out of her mouth.

If she became president, she would of course at sometime, have to handle some sort of crisis, big or small, that may involve talking with foreign leaders. How much trust will they have in her knowing that she has made up stories in the past.

18. I was door knocking today and a woman said, I do not trust Obama!
She does not believe he did not know Pastor Wright is a racist! She thinks he lied and does not like someone who would go to a church where someone spoke with such hatred for America and whites.

Beyond the pastor Wright issue, there is the part where he has constantly played the race card!

He has also been staging events, voter fraud and unethical campaign tactics.

Also, the DNC and Dean hand-picking Obama and pushing him down our throats.

Let's not forget all the sexist comments from Obama and the negative tone he uses with Hillary and slamming her character to win votes.

His divisive rhetoric which has promoted division in the party & racial tension and then blaming Hillary Clinton.

His empty suit speeches with nothing but fluff and no real solutions.

He is unqualified.

He is dishonest over and over.

He spends too much money and keeps asking for poor people to donate more.

Michelle Obama is an America hater just like her pastor.

128. Foolish? No
Believe it? Oh hell yeah!

I've not heard one decent reason for disliking Obama. I've heard bullshit about him not being a nice person. I've heard "I just don't trust him" which is code for "I'm not voting for him, he's black.

You've got people who claim to be Democrats say they'll vote for McSame. McSame? On which planet or alternate universe is McSame a better person for the White House because he sure as hell isn't better on this planet and this universe.

There are the specious arguments that Obama has "played the race card" can we please dispose of that idiotic phrase already? Racism is not a goddamn game! Obama has bent over backwards to be completely respectful of Clinton and not resort to cheap shots which is more than we can say about Senator Clinton or her husband. He could have gone after the moronic sniper fire remarks. He didn't. And Clinton admitted that she lied at the god-awful debate in Philadelphia held by ABC in case you weren't paying attention.

Q Senator, I was in your court until a couple of weeks ago. How do you reconcile the campaign of credibility that you have when you've made those comments about what happened getting off the plane in Bosnia, which totally misrepresented what really happened on that day? You really lost my vote. And what can you tell me to get that vote back?

SENATOR CLINTON: Well, Tom, I can tell you that I may be a lot of things, but I'm not dumb. And I wrote about going to Bosnia in my book in 2004. I laid it all out there. And you're right. On a couple of occasions in the last weeks I just said some things that weren't in keeping with what I knew to be the case and what I had written about in my book. And, you know, I'm embarrassed by it. I have apologized for it. I've said it was a mistake. And it is, I hope, something that you can look over, because clearly I am proud that I went to Bosnia. It was a war zone.

The last I checked the definition of lie is saying something that you know isn't in keeping with what actually happened.

It was an easy shot which Obama refrained from taking. Obama has been running a first class campaign but nothing he does seems to be good enough for the haters. If Clinton had run as good a campaign she'd be winning; but she didn't so she isn't.

Now Obama was my second choice since my first choice got little media attention and dropped out as a result so it's not like I was always in the Obama camp but given the choices there was only one that I could reasonably make at the time. Since I've not seen any Obama haters make their arguments based on his positions, I can only only guess it's because of his race.

Frankly, I expected better from Democrats.

The transcript I used for the excerpt is available here:

I just think he's narcissistic, elitist, inexperienced, ruthlessly opportunist, has as much resilience as wet blotting paper, has a Svengali-like grip on his following, is burdened with a myriad of past shady associations, and has cynically used the race card against the Clintons.
Not a bad public speaker though (when there's a teleprompter at hand).

I'll always regret the fact that John Edwards didn't make it to this point. I support Obama because HRC is just another warmongering Republican-lite "Democrat" like Joe Lieberman.

Just because people are passionate about this particular point doesn't mean they're in some sort of cult. They just don't want to see the war dragged out longer, as HRC would no doubt do.

109. "ruthlessly opportunist"
I just thought that was an interesting one.

When Hillary's "I was under sniper fire" faux pas came out, and she was asked to explain herself during a debate, Obama came to her defense as well, saying "Sometimes that message is going to be imperfectly delivered, because we are recorded every minute of every day. And I think Senator Clinton deserves, you know, the right to make some errors once in a while."

That doesn't sound ruthlessly opportunistic to me.

45. Let me count the reasons...........
I don't really "hate" him, I don't even hate Bush and Cheney. I just strongly dislike all three of them.

As for Obama, I don't think that he's experienced enough, prepared or deserving of the presidency at this point in time. A man who has the least national experience than any other candidate in modern times should not be given the reins of power. He's a lightweight, albeit smart and well educated.

I see Obama as an opportunist who knew how to manipulate the crowds by his ability to give good speeches and by expounding on empty platitudes. He's more style than substance. The party leaders are now aligning themselves with him because that's what all politicians do, sell themselves to the one who's ahead in the race and who can benefit them down the line. They would have done the same thing if Hillary was on top. As Truman said, want a friend in Washington? Get a dog!!

I would have respected and even campaigned for him if he had waited to obtain the actual experience necessary to do the job.

As for his race, I couldn't care less about it and would think the same thing if he were white. No one should be sent to the back of the bus due to their race, gender or religion, but by the same token, no one should jump ahead due to it.

Once someone says on little thing negative about their opponent, the other must defend themselves. Then it escalates, and before long it is an all out fist fight.

It happens in every campaign, and it probably alway will. Put your self in either candidates shoes, and ask your self if you would ignore it.

73. The Clinton DLCers hate him because they believed the dot .com bubble
was Bill Clintons doing and Hillary would replicate his economic "miracle".

Because they do not care that by not prosecuting Reagan and Bush Senior for IRAN/Contra
Bill Clinton allowed the most criminal administration in US history to take power, destroy our prestige and cripple the military along with our economy.

Because he has exposed the Clintons as narcissists who have never done anything
that did not serve their interests first. And their tendency to lie whenever it suits them, hanging their supporters out to dry while wagging their fingers in defiance.

Because he understands that NAFTA has destroyed the US manufacturing base, that by signing the Gramm/Leach/Bliley Act, (repealing the Glass-Steagall Act) Bill Clinton set the stage for the current sub-prime mortgage crisis, and that by signing the 1996 Telecommunications Act (also promoted by Republican, Thomas J. Bliley Jr.,) he has allowed five companies to gain a virtual monopoly.

Because he understands that by their rejecting Jesse Jackson's plan for single-payer health care to pursue Nixon's "managed care" the Clintons have made mandatory health care reform too toxic in the near term to garner support from either side of the aisle.

Because he had the good judgment to criticize the Iraq invasion a week before the AUMF.

And first and foremost, because everyone knew that after W. it was Hillary's turn to be president.

That's why Clintonites hate Obama.

136. Your post and the post that you replied to
sum it up perfectly. Everyone was saying that she was the inevitable nominee, she would be the first female President. They didn't see Obama coming. And they didn't know how to counter his candidacy.

123. It's amazing isn't it?
I've been here longer than the Iraq War and I barely have more posts, if you average it out per month.

116. Kool-Aid comes in more than one flavor.
Lots of the Obama hate I see around here is every bit as irrational, knee-jerk, cultish, and superstitious as the Obama love is claimed to be.

Lots and lots of people have "feelings" but no specific factual reasons. Why should "I just don't like him" be taken any more seriously than "I just like him"? It shouldn't. Two sides of the same bad penny, IMO.

126. THAT'S IT!
It's like Moonstruck. Why do men chase women?

You have the answer. It's because this was supposed to be a coronation, and it's not.

124. I don't hate him, but I don't trust him one bit.
That's why if he's the nominee, I will be holding my nose, and potentially throwing up at the voting booth in November.

132. I don't.
Neither do I like him. At all.

In the real world, there is a huge spread between "don't like" and "hate."

I do my best not to hate anyone. I've done pretty well with that, only having trouble with 2 people in the last decade.

Both are people that caused extensive, life-changing personal damage to me and mine.

Why don't I like him?

He's convinced a majority of voting Democrats that he's the savior of the party and the nation, yet he offers nothing that I want in the POTUS.

He's too republican, too christian, too centrist/right, too corporate, too 3rd way, too "new" democrat, too NEOLIBERAL to accomplish the change that the party and the nation need.

Since you asked. Did you really want to know?
