Flagstaff, AZ ROCKED FOR KERRY!
The sea of people was unbelievable. Kerry was late for over an hour, but we didn't care. The announcers kept giving the crowd information about his stops before getting to Flagstaff. He was mobbed by thousands of people before getting to Flagstaff. He was also mobbed at his train station arrival in Flag. It took him an additional 45 minutes to walk 2 blocks, before his arrival at the Plaza for the main event.

We got to the Flag/Plaza event about 5:30pm. The line was already about 4 blocks long. The gates opened about 7:00pm. The music was great. There was wall-to-wall dancing in the streets. The local news reported that over 10 thousand people greeted Kerry in Flagstaff. We had a hell of a great time.

1. I love that he walked two blocks.
I doubt that W will ever walk two blocks anywhere even after he's out of office.

2. It sounds great! Lucky you!!
It's great that people are accepting why he's late. It's a good thing! Was it terribly hot?

I'm STILL trying to find out HOW to get the info on his stops! I know he's heading out this way (to the Pacific Northwest) but every time I ask on the DU board, the topic dies a slow death.. and I can never find out if anyone answered me. I can't find the info on the Kerry site... how did you find out about it?? :hi:

4. Not Hot....
Flagstaff is up in the high mountains. Temperature in the daytime may go up to 90-100, but at hight it's in the 60s/70. We were camping and it got cold to wear a light jacket.

7. For me, the most likely place to see Kerry will be Spokane
since WA is supposedly a 'battleground state' and Montana is not. Spokane is a 3-4 hour drive but I will gladly do it... I just hope I don't miss it by not getting the word/tickets.

12. I received a notice about Flag from the campaign.
Register on his website and you will get info by email. I really wanted to go up (from Phx) yesterday, but could not make it. I am glad the crowd was so welcoming, but not surprised, Flag is very liberal, a college town. I was just up there last weekend to see Ani DiFranco at NAU. At the end of her show she said she wanted to invent a new drink, a really delicious, foamy, special drink... and call it "the landslide". The crowd went nuts!

8. Flagstaff & Kerry
Before we get too heady about this and any of the particular polls, I've got to tell you that I'm very worried about the Kerry-Edwards Campaign.

It has been more like a Barbie Doll routine; I believe that it will be ineffectual. Bush remains essentially unscathed and will walk all over us.

Bush is going to cream Kerry in NYC and get the “bounce” that we didn’t. That is all important,

Bush needs to be bloodied and wounded BEFORE NYC.

Why don’t Kerry & Edwards send out their attack teams and truth squads to speak the truth to the American people? Time is precious and being wasted.Bush will outflank us and destroy our creditbility with lies and viciousness.

We need to spark things up with some appearances by Clinton, Sharpton, & Co. etc. NOW

If we wait until later in the campaign to do this, we will never catch Bush.

YOU CAN’T HUNT WITHOUT TREES

BUSH= "GRIM REMINDER" OF A COURT'S SUPREME MISTAKE

GEO. BUSH = SHOOT FIRST, TRY TO THINK LATER

TERROR ALERTS ALERT OUR ENEMIES

IN TIME OF CRISIS, A REAL PRESIDENT DOESN’T READ KIDDIE BOOKS

GOD DOESN’T PLAY POLITICS OR GIVE ENDORSEMENTS

Promoting our positive message for America.

Besides, imho, most undecided voters at this point are not going to be converted by negative attacks.

Flagstaff last night:

10. Not if he speaks!
"Bush is going to cream Kerry in NYC and get the “bounce” that we didn’t."

Kerry got the bounce, the press just didn't report it. Repukes delegates are being charged $5000 to attend extra events at the convention - the repukes are screwing their own and charging them for everything.

Members of GOP will stay home on Nov. 2 - repukes cannot carry it on their own. (imho)
