"Winter Soldier Investigation."

Around 150 honorably discharged soldiers reported on the same things that Kerry testified about. Yet, to hear the Swiftboaters you would think that John Kerry was the only one who reported these abuses and that it was a disgraceful thing to do. Kerry was not alone in divulging the truth and his campaign should be saying so.

1. Kerry spoke of others saying war crimes - he did not speak of or confirm
war crimes amonst those he was with.

Indeed I thought - and your link in your post confirms- that his Senate testimony was all in reference to what others had said - and about how the Gov had lied to him personally based on his pesonal observations.

Granted he was but one of 61 Senarors that asked for normal relations in 94 - leading Clinton to repealed the embargo 4 February 1994 - the U.S. trade embargo against Vietnam that had begun against the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1964 and extended to the united Socialist Republic of Vietnam in April 1975.

But he and John McCain worked for years on the MIA issue - meeting in 'Nam in 93 (and in a picture in 93 that the GOP now claims proves him unfit to command)to transfer data to 'Nam so as to finalize the search for MIA.

He is a leader.

3. Trying to suggest something to people who are getting paid to be arrogant
is really difficult to do. It's just like working for the government, the rank-in-file know what is really going on but you can never get the message to the top and when you do, the top resents you because you appear to be smarter than they are. Go figure

4. I sure hope more DUers read Kerry's testimony. It's very sobering and
a magnificant example of putting yourself on the line for your fellow soldiers who may have had their careers damaged to be in the spotlight.
