They always use the abortion/anti-abortion thing as a wedge issue, no matter what else a candidate believes.

A republican candidate could probably believe in sterilization for developmentally disabled children, and still get the vote because he doesn't believe in "partial birth abortion."

There are many "wedgies" they are trying, as usual to create a divide, but we have to remember:
