If a complaint is repeated several times without any variation for the purpose of a flamewar, that's not very useful. But there is a lot of useful criticism here that I find valuable. I wouldn't want to go somewhere that never questions my support of a politician, or his stances on the issues. I don't question everything sufficiently myself, and others can fill in those gaps for me. For example, I believe it was Egnever who posted on the Byrd/Levin amendments a few months back, and one of those I had never heard of--so that criticism of Kerry was pretty useful and informative to me.

What makes you think that a segment of life long dems like myself will just run into the arms of nader? Did it ever occur to you that some of us, especially after today's Kerry statement will not vote for Kerry or Nader, but will exercise our right to vote in the local elections in November?

As a life long dem and a person that has come to identify with the progressive part of OUR party, I am sick and tired of being bedeviled by those that would brow beat us into voting for Kerry at this point. I have come to realize that I am as good a dem as you or anyone else here on this board and I will vote my conscience, which at this point, is not voting for Kerry OR NADER, but supporting my local candidates depending on their platforms and maybe even writing in my choice for president.

It's time to take a stand and I'm taking one now to express how utterly tired I am of being called a naderite or a traitor when all I ever was and still am is a loyal democrat. This kind of abuse is no different than the crap o'reilly and the rethuglicans dole out to us on a daily basis. You need to figure it out once and for all, I and people like myself are not the enemy, but posts like your's will have a negative impact on the party that will have negative consequences for years to come.
