Why I would vote Kerry in November if I could
Edited on Tue Aug-10-04 08:35 AM by JohnKleeb
Kerry's educational plan will help many Americans including myself I believe learn more about who we are as a nation, who they are as human beings, and it will lower my tuition rate or maybe even get it paid for me if I do the service plan, if Kerry is president and gets this passed, this will be good for families like my own, I want to see both of my two younger brothers go to college and not have to be afraid of rising tuition rates in college, I want them to get a quality education. I don't want social security privatized, I want a president who will protect it. I would go in to more depth guys but I have my reasons to support Kerry, and they will directly benefit me in the end, maybe thats selfish but I realize that with Bush as president, we aint goin no where, with Kerry as president at worst we'd make baby steps and at best we'd be on the road to a better tommorow that we can pride ourselves in.

2. not 18
sigh man. I am a paradox, far left yet yellow dog, idealistic yet pragmatic somewhat. Well I am gonna be a senior next year and a handful of my classmates will be 18, I can convince them to support Kerry, no? Same thing as Bush my ass, sigh I am ready to put this guy in the white house.

8. yeah Jonny but I would have a reason to support him
I want to go to college bad, especially one of my choice, if we had Bush as president a few years from now, I would be struggling to pay my tutition, I do come from one of the most wealthy districts in the US, but my family has worked hard to be where they are now, my mom put herself through school as a waitress and now is a government contractor, my dad has worked so many jobs to help provide for me and my bros, from cab driving, waiting tables. I know I sound like Edwards or Gephardt when I say this but these are my roots, its who I am. Kerry is gonna help families like ours, and those who had the same situation during my younger years. I really think we're fortunate considered who we could have had as nominee, like Ive studied the guy's record and views, if I were voting it wouldnt just be a vote against Bush.

4. i have a cousin the same age as you
you are 17 right ? my cousin just turned 17 last month and she can't stand bush either. while she is not as involved in politics or knowledgeable about what is going on as much as you are. she does understand enough to see how things are affecting people, especially her age. she has gay friends so the issue of gay rights is important to her. she knows how important education is because she has a younger sister who has some trouble learning things and she knows a better president would offer support for programs to help kids like that.

I just turned 17 last month a well. Well I come from a long line of blue collar workers so labor rights have always been my pet issue, so I am big on labor as well but I am big on all issues too.

7. cool
Its just a shame when people who already set for life moan and groan about Kerry not being good enough for them, I am talking about a large part of Nader's base, it just sickens me that anyone would think that Kerry is like Bush, hes more like Ted Kennedy at least his record is.
