The Repugs I know (and I know quite a few) are disgusted by the ads, and though they still will vote for Bush, they don't like the tactics and many fear they will ultimately backfire.

I just don't see it playing well with the dreaded swing voters. Too many Nervous Nellie's on DU right now.

They talked about who is all involved with it...the woman and the land developer...Oniell...Elliot...etc...had interview with some of the guys in the video..

a few selections from the smear boat vets ad...showed some video how some of them came to his defense in the 90's and then showed how they are turning on him in the commercial...
They spoke with vets on weather or not this really matters...more Dem voters were represented then were Repubs...one Repub said he was upset about the testimoney from Kerry in 71 and how he lied...and another one implied that Kerry had no character...

Some of the vets said that they didn't like the ads and are still going to vote for Kerry regardless...etc etc...

Check the nightline site...they should have something up soon...

I think Nightline exposed a lot about these guys...
