Take a Good Long Look at this Picture....


Residents of Las Vegas, New Mexico watch as Democratic presidential nominee Senator John Kerry's campaign train rolls into town for a campaign rally August 7, 2004.

In my mind, I've seen this picture before. I've seen these people before. In the 1930s, in the Dustbowl, the migration west to find a better life for themselves and their children. There were Two Americas for the majority of the last century. There should be only One America for this century.

By voting for Kerry/Edwards, we will have an opportunity. If George Bush remains in the White House, I fear for another Dustbowl across this country.

That's where my heart lies, my optimism is renewed, if only for a little while....

And I could have sworn that was from a period-film about the Depression. Especially the woman. She's got the dress and everything. And the kid's hat.
