For those of you not familiar with this web site, take a peek. I just found this gem by scrolling down nearly to the end of the headline page:

"Bush job rating falls to new low
Posted Aug 8, 2004 10:43 AM PST
Californians' appraisal of President Bush's job performance has hit a record low, largely because voters' view of his handling of terrorist threats has deteriorated, according to a new statewide Field Poll.
At a recent social event I met someone who actually works for a polling company, which one I decline to say for reason which will become apparent. This person took me into their confidence and after swearing me to anonymity confirmed what I had long suspected. The actual raw polling data shows zero support for Bush and his wars, and barring Diebold, shows Kerry winning by a major landslide. But the upper management of the polling organization "corrects" the data to support the agenda of the client. "

Heheheh, November is going to be FUN!!!

1. bush has a solid 30%
and that's it. That's all he's going to have. I have believed that polls are skewed for quite some time and what you report confirms my theory.

2. This sort of thing could lead to trouble
The whacked out freepers will cry foul when their boy was polling in the forties and he barely takes 30% on election day.

4. Walt, surely you jest. At best, Kerry will get 55%.
The biggest landslide in history was LBJ with 61% vs. Goldwater 39%. That's not going to happen.

A solid 10% win (its a landslide, but smaller) is a possibility.

6. I used to work for a market research firm doing movie screenings
They "corrected" the data all the time to support the agenda of the client. It was standard procedure.

No wonder test marketed movies usually suck. Same with test marketed presidential campaigns.

Kerry landslide coming.
