Hillary basically said:
Hey, the ONLY way I can be the nominee is if you kill him. She just unreasonably endangered his life even more. For that, I hate her fucking soul.

1. he said she regretted using RFK 68 as part of expanation of why she's still in race

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/23/clinton.comments /

she regretted comments that evoked the June 1968 assassination of Robert Kennedy as part of her explanation for why she was staying in the presidential race late into the primary season.

9. That;'s it, I'm done

There is a point of human decency that has been crossed.

No one, no Democrat or Republican or anyone on earth should make a veiled threat to a candidate and be able to sail through any process.

Even GWB would not say that.. this tops it.

17. She was referring to June as a date nominees were still on the Campaign Trail
Edited on Fri May-23-08 06:46 PM by Tellurian
The foaming and gnashing of teeth on this forum is laughable. "JUNE" is the magic word here. Her husband was still campaigning in June. She made the RFK reference (as a time frame memory) of JUNE when he was assassinated in CA.

TRADITIONALLY, CANDIDATES ARE STILL CAMPAIGNING IN JUNE!!! WHAT PART OF THAT HISTORICAL FACT DOESN'T ANYONE UNDERSTAND?

15 MILLION PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND WHERE THE URGENCY IS TO DROP OUT! WHAT IS THE RUSH FOR THE NOMINATION? THIS UNPRECEDENTED RUSH HAS NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE IN US HISTORY!

What in the Hell is wrong with you people? You sound like a mob drooling for a lynching...therapy is just a phone call away..GET HELP FAST!

21. WRONG.
Why didnt she bring up 1972, or 1984? Why does she keep bringing up Kennedy being killed? And knowing Obama has unprecedented secret service protection because of the threats to him, yet she still says it.

This is Ann Coulter worthy. and you KNOW it.

34. Why? Because RFK's campaign ended abruptly and the campaign literally started all over again.
Remember how it turned out? Hubert Horatio Humphrey, who didn't enter a single state primary, was selected by that memorable convention in Chicago.

That is what Hillary was talking about. Read up on some history people and quit it with the orgasmic hate!

1972? 1984? Whose campaigns ended abruptly in those years?

14. If you read and understand english competently, than you know the answer to this.
But I suspect that your response is more an invitation to argue.

It is VERY, VERY Bushy around here lately. It's like Obama supporters took the play book
from Karl Rove's desk and decided to use it here.

Just because YOU say it, does NOT make it so.

18. I think so too...
My sis n law pushed me to go see him in Tampa the other day.. I said, he'll be back through this summer and it may be easier to arrange the kid and work at another time.. she said, ""Glowing", this is your thing.. you love politics.. you need to go and do this for yourself.. and I hate to say this, but seriously, what if you don't have an opportunity in the future to see him? What if some whack job gets nutty and takes him out?"

I've had multiple conversations with multiple people at my job.. I work with the public all across the nation.. they would like to see him succeed, but fear the worst. AND he is not just a candidate who's playing by the rules. He is talking about cleaning out the corruption. He's talking about real reforms. He is upsetting a lot of apple carts. Make no mistake, if something happens to him, it will be something very planned.. no matter what nut job they pull out to do the "job".

10. What was the implication of raising RFKs assassination?
I mean, clearly she wasn't speaking about long primaries in that context. She is suggesting that it could happen, and for that reason, she is staying in the race. This implies that the only way she could win is for that to happen. Which is basically what my OP stated.

Tinfoil hat my ass.

27. That's it exactly
After watching the video of her speaking to the editorial board (on the DU front page), I believe her context clearly was "it could happen".

Who is she speaking to? All potential voters in South Dakota? Or just her base voters in South Dakota? "Vote for me, because we all know Obama is gonna get killed anyway, just like it happened to Bobby Kennedy."

Or ... "don't waste your vote on a dead guy."

You're right, redstate_democrat.

And then consider that this isn't the first time she has used these words ...

I know she's desperate for air-time and oh boy is she getting it over this fucking disgusting remark but that sentence should never, ever have been said aloud. She's crossed the boundary of all decency.

It was a disturbing reference, nonetheless, to the point that she should exit the race, now.

Even if she doesn't, I think this just might put an end to any VP speculation about her, don't you?

I don't understand her behavior. It's erratic and completely out of touch with reality.

I think we're seeing someone who's spent too much time in the ivory tower. She goes through the motions of connecting with the real world, but she's not really there.
