7. Yep. I'm proud. I love her to death. My son was there too, but
he was right up at the rope about 6 feet from Kerry. Besides, I can't put him on my shoulders anymore (he's 11).

They LOVED the rally. When we got home, my daughter told me "I'm a Democrat and so are you, daddy." Plus, we both got to shake Kerry's hand at the end of the rally. See my report from last night here:

She's the future of our party! It's important to take our kids to these things. Give them the passion for politics. Great Picture!

36. Ah, but--
Your daughter's greatest physical asset is not her hair, which will probably grow a bit darker in time, the way most natural blondes' hair does...

It is her EYES! She seems to have wisdom, even at that young age. She will have those beautiful eyes for her whole life.

37. Thank you for the kind thoughts...everybody on DU. It's really
heartwarming.

BTW - my daughter can be a real pistol. She abides NO BS at all.

She does great in school. I had the usual scheduled conference with her teacher halfway through last year, and I asked her what my daughter's biggest impediment was to accomplishing her classwork. Her answer: sometimes she doesn't get her work done on time because she sees other kids who are having more trouble than her, so she goes and helps them before finishing her own work.

Yeah..she sounds like a Dem.

40. That was my impression, as well. Very thoughtful and serious-minded
with a great sense of purpose and calm.

Outstanding traits in any individual....amazing from one so young.

herself. She thought it was cool but she's not obsessing. I'm the one obsessing.

19. We live in Summerlin. She goes to Lummis Elem.
But I'm interviewing for a position with a company down on Amigo off Warm Springs. If that comes through, we may move to Henderson to be closer for commuting (my brother-in-law lived in Henderson until he moved back to CA).

when I lived in vegas two decades ago, that paper was purely republican in its slant. I'm glad they're covering Kerry rallies.

26. Congrats
She seems very serious! I think you need to buy many copies of the paper. Many newspapers will sell the original copies of their pictures for a small price. It would be great to have an 8 x 10 of that on your wall.
