Amount of New Voter Registrations?
I have been trying to find stats on how many new voters have registered this year and how that compares to years in the past. I came across one paper that said in Las Vegas that they have had twice as many new voters register than in 2000. Was wondering if anybody knew where to point me?

1. I'm a first time voter!
Just registered a few weeks ago. :) But then again I just turned 18 a few weeks ago hehe. All my friends are registered, and I am going to get their asses to the polls if i have to hijack a bus and drive them all there myself!

4. Make sure you and all your 18 year old buddies register for the draft
If Bush* gets in again you will be drafted and sent off to war. Something to think about. It is law that you register for selective service.

2. hi KerryKat Welcome
about the only way I know is to go to the county voter boards and see. While the US Census keeps track, I don't think it's up to date enough to help

:hi:

Project Vote Goes Over 700,000

Dear Friends:

Nationwide, Project Vote has registered over 700,000 (709,582) new low-income and minority voters as of 8-9-04.

These include 119,357 new registrants in Ohio, 116,588 new registrants in Florida, 84,711 new registrants in Pennsylvania, 57,146 new registrants in Arizona and 52,232 new registrants in Michigan.

Project Vote is clearly poised and ready to reach its goal of registering 1.2 million new voters... but we need your help.

In over 79 communities across America we have hardworking, dedicated community activists who have spent the better part of this year working in their neighborhoods in all kinds of conditions (think Phoenix in August!) to make this goal a reality. But with your help they are ready, willing and able to press on toward this historic goal.

Please use the contribution bar on the lower right of this announcement to make the most generous tax-deductible contribution you can to Project Vote.

Working together we can make history!

Sincerely,

David J. Leland

National Director
