A Campaign Suggestion to Senator Kerry
Hammer home the economy. Bush can't make stuff up about this subject. Fewer jobs under Bush, the new jobs are without health care, the new jobs being created pay less than the ones that were lost. Under this administration prescription drug costs are unfordable for seniors.

You favor the importation of prescription drugs, you will stop the subsidizing of job outsourcing, you will close tax loopholes for the wealthy and stop offshore corporate PO boxes.

As far as foreign policy is concerned say that Mr. Bush has burned the bridges of scores of countries that it took generations to build. You will repair our long time, natural alliances and strengthen the existing ones, including Great Britain where public opinion polls show a lack of support for Tony Blair. This new voice of reason and common sense will increase this nation's options in both Iraq and the world wide war on terror thereby giving us a far better chance of success.

Here's your theme, Mr. Kerry, refine it if you must, but this is what Americans want to hear. If you give them too much detail while the bastards are in charge, you will get bogged down, the message will become confused, and the average voter will lose focus.

If anyone wants more detail, give out your web site and tell them they are welcome to all the information on your position about any major issue they could ever want.

1. In the end, to have any effect, his words must get on TV
And his enemies, the media, can pick and choose what they show. There is nothing he can do about it. He could already be doing everything you suggest. You couldn't know about it unless it is aired.

2. I've watched him on C-Span
and I could listen to him for hours. But if you say too much and give to much detail, they will take only the negative, and beat you with it.

Every day, he should make one or at the most two, points, and keep it simple, and hammer it home. He has a tendency to say too much, and people lose his point.

3. But then he is criticized for not giving details.
Just as he was in the convention speech. To man the media line was: "he wasn't specific enough".

4. Ummm...
>Hammer home the economy. Bush can't make stuff up about this subject.

Of course he can, he does it all the time. But at least he can be more easily called on it than some of his other forays into fiction...

5. He can't
tell you that you have a job when you don't, he can't tell you you're making more money when you're not, he can't tell you your health insurance is not more expensive when it is, he can't tell you gas is cheaper when you are paying more, he can't say prescription drugs are affordable when they aren't and he can't say the stock market is up when it's down. There is no amount of spin that will work, he has to change the subject. Don't let him.

The economy is the issue that destroys his credibility, and undermines everything else he says. Now do you get it?
