Kerry and Edwards are constantly campaigning together across the country.
I don't think I've seen Bush & Cheney together once in the past 3.5 years.
You'd think that they'd campaign somewhere together... at least once! But Bush is campaigning with McCain and Cheney is off campaigning alone somewhere else.
Is this because of some security rule that the Pres & VP can't be together in case something happens terror-wise?
Or is it because they know that Cheney is not going to be on the ticket in November? He will have a "health problem" and be replaced with someone more likeable (McCain?)?
Or is it purely because Bush knows no one likes Cheney so he tries to keep him in the background? (but he will still be on the ticket)
...I think there are actually laws that predate 9/11 which prohibit the President and the VP from appearing together except on specific occassions. Might be wrong, and I definately don't know what those occassions might be if I'm not.
