WASHINGTON, Aug. 12 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Today, Sen. Frank R. Lautenberg (D-N.J.) reacted to Vice President Dick Cheney's comment that Sen. John Kerry "doesn't have deeply held convictions about right and wrong."Sen. Lautenberg issued the following statement:

"John Kerry had enough conviction to sign up for the military during wartime, unlike the Vice President, who had a deep conviction to avoid military service," said Senator Lautenberg. "Senator Kerry is a veteran who understands war, and knows that the key to success is to rally allies to your cause. President Bush's arrogant policies in Iraq have not worked. Vice President Cheney should spend less time attacking Senator Kerry and more time trying to fix the Bush Administration's mess in Iraq."

5. Thank you Senator
It's also hard to believe that we have
to thank people for speaking up for good virtues
and character in others.

6. I love Frank
He is from North Jersey where I am from. I met him when I was a little kid at a spelling bee. What a guy... tough guy when he needs to be and a truly compassionate person otherwise.

15. This is exactly what Dems need to do. As soon as those a**holes
open their mouth to attack Kerry, slap them right back with the truth.

Hey Cheney, go f*ck yourself. How about "right and wrong" when it comes to no-bid contracts for Halliburton or your secret energy task force meetings with executives from the gas and oil industries to develop energy policies favorable to them.

Bush* and Cheney have 5 DUIs between the two of them.

hey, Cheney-- you service-dodging punk---how many trips up and down the Mei Kong delta did you make? Who alive can attest to you doing your duty and serving your country? You sure talk big for someone who's never seen a day of military service in your life.

Chickenhawk coward punk!
