Jackson tells Bush to support Alan Keyes

Jesse Jackson, responding to a suggestion from President Bush that Democrats take black voters for granted, said Thursday that Republicans should prove they don't do the same thing by giving full support to GOP Senate hopeful Alan Keyes.

The civil rights leader, a staunch supporter of Democratic Senate candidate Barack Obama, recalled a July speech in which Bush suggested to the National Urban League convention in Detroit that Democrats are complacent about the black vote.

"Obama was allowed to be a prime-time speaker for the Democrats" at their national convention in Boston last month, "so this should mean Alan Keyes should be a prime-time speaker for Republicans," Jackson said.

He said Bush and Cheney should campaign for Keyes, who moved into his Calumet City home Thursday night to establish residency in Illinois.

And Jackson said the national Republican Party and Illinois Republicans should raise as much money for Keyes as they did for former Gov. James Thompson and former Sen. Charles H. Percy.

Maybe someone actually reads what I say...or great minds think alike, but Jesse would make the perfect "shadow" for our Maryland Repugnican visitor. Obama stays above the crap, while Jesse pummels Keyes and his money-grubbing handlers.

15. Keyes' problem is that this is the only thing he deems

important enough to talk about--reducing a woman to broodmare-slave status. All other issues that are important to his constituency are moot and unimportant?

Ok... so let's say he's successful in the first 20 days in office. How is he going to get jobs into Illinois? What kind of economic plans does he have to boost the state's financial infrastructure? Is he saying that none of that makes any difference--that those who are already breathing air are to be ignored, brushed aside, social programs should be gutted, the people turned out into the street to beg, their rights and abilities to feed their families, pay their bills, obtain gainful employment are non issues because we need those babies to be born?

Ok, let's say abortion becomes outlawed in the first 20 days of his term--is he willing to raise the taxes of the people in Illinois to help out the mothers having these children? Or once theyr'e born, fuck em---parents shouldn't have been screwing to begin with--sex is a sin?
