Senator Kerry's Vietnam service and whether or not he deserved . . .
the medals he received is under CONSTANT scrutiny.

We now have "The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.

Swift vets with their commercial of "slander" per Kerry's Lawyers.

and on and on and on.

Does this remind anyone of anything? Remember the smear campaign that started on Clinton as soon as he was nominated by the Democratic Party and not letting up until after his 8 years in office. They obviously are afraid Kerry will win. So the smear machine has started.

I say we play their little game the same way. I think we should research articles on long-term use of Cocaine. Also, alcoholism and the use of both over long periods of times. I'm sure we can find some articles regarding the damage to brain cells that long-term use can cause.

Why is none of this coming up about Bush. He admits to it. Why not start talking to people about how they feel having an ex alcoholic as their president, or someone who abused drugs, especially Cocaine.

I've always thought that Democrats could hold their heads high because they do not go for the smear tactics that the Republicans do. However, it has not served us well to be decent, honest people. So we are going to have to lower ourselves to their level, unfortunately.

We need to get some research done, a website of protest, also we could probably get some news coverage regarding this.

For example, this site lists every day he has been in office and before. Great reading. <http://www.bushwatch.com/bushreport.htm>

1. Clinton won
by defending himself and turning the focus back to the record of the first Bush. That's what Kerry is doing as well. Its a winning strategy.

3. Just shows how desperate they are
it's slipping away from them, and this is the only way they can fight it - go negative and spread lies and misinformation about their opponent. Typical Bush-league behavior.

4. Kerry's Vietnam Service
Here's what I believe:

NO TRUE PATRIOT WOULD EVER DENEGRATE THE MILITARY SACRIFICES OF ANOTHER. IT IS UNAMERICAN, UNPATRIOTIC, AND UNACCEPTABLE.

WHILE KERRY WAS FIGHTING, BUSH WAS HIDING

BUSH'S REAL NAME IS : GEORGE aWOL BUSH

5. did you see Hardball Thursday
Chris Matthews had the jerk on who wrote the book and a guy from Vets for Kerry. All in all, Matthews ripped the author apart. More than once, Matthews said the NAVY and the guys who were on the boat with Kerry agree and you dredge up this crap from people who were NOT on the boat and are saying this stuff. And What the heck was Bush was doing at this time? I thought Matthews pretty much made mincemeat of the author. Matthews also kept going at the author's motives in full attack mode. And you know how Matthews is when he asks 20 questions in 3 minutes. The Vets for Kerry guy said the author is a Bushie political operative and Matthews let him talk.

10. I wish everyone who bought that book could have seen Matthews
Thanks and thank you to the other poster who knows where to find the Hardball stuff. Hope you have fun watching Matthews get his dander up in regard to this piece of trash book.

9. Bush uses negativity
because he's got nothing else. The economy is in the tank, Iraq is a quagmire and people are fed up and want answers. To respond in kind does two things - draw attention away from the real issues and make it appear that Kerry has no concrete plans.

Far better in my opinion to run a positive, optimistic campaign and let people see the difference.
