Why do I have a sinking feeling?
I have a lot of fear that something is going to happen. I really don't know why. But I am afraid that they will try to steal it. These are evil people. The other thing is that Kerry has made some little missetps. O'Neill is not being discredited while his lapdog Novak defends him. I want to have this end in victory for us but I am getting fearful. Especially what would happen if Bin Laden is dragged out.

1. Bin Laden is far too smart for Bush
If we are going to get mauled it is going to be the olympics followed by the republican convention.

3. O'Neill is being discredited
However, I share your fears. These people scare me and will stop at nothing to keep power.

4. I fear too. I am not fearful of Kerry losing but of them stealing. I have
a hard time wondering why if they pull Bin Laden out of the hat this should make a difference....but knowing how stupid the Americans have become who knows. Why are we not making a big thing of the anthrax killer never being captured?? This should have been a piece of cake.

5. Don't look for the obvious.
Pulling Bin Laden out of a hat will be good for maybe three days of coverage. Of course, they might do it on October 30 -- although there would then be so many Halloween jokes it might backfire. But three days before the election, to allow a wave of "All Hail the might and intrepid leader" kind of sentiment to wash over the country, that might happen.

I do agree that they will do anything to stay in power.

The reference to Hanoi Jane, among others, gives him/her away.

19. why do people try to smear her by calling her Hanoi Jane?
I think she was very brave--especially when she visited the prisoners in Vietnam. What people don't acknowledge is that those prisoners inconsiderately put her in an incredibly awkward position (by slipping her their social security numbers) and Fonda did the right thing by telling the authorities. What did people expect her to do?

And they are still criticizing her to this day! Unbelievable!

:puke:

I think Jane Fonda is a very patriotic American! May we have many more like her and Michael Moore!

27. NOBODY EVER GAVE JANE FONDA SS NUMBERS!!!!!!
It NEVER happened. It's a right wing lie that has been floating around the internet. It is simply not true. Obviously, she never turned them over to the North Vietnameses either--since she never got them. This is a hoax. Don't repeat the lies. Check snopes.com.

hey--I thought it happened--I was told this
way back--like more than a dozen years ago.

But like I said--even if it did--I have full sympathy for Jane. No need to criticize her. She cared, she went over there and visited which is more than the criticizers can say!

17. Anyone supporting shrub and his band of idiots is just a
masochist craving to be the toilet bowl for their idols. Except for the ultra wealthy shrub is using his base as a**wipes but given their abysmal needs to be dominated and told what to do his base gladly performs that role with gratitude.

23. Hey fellow Coloradoan,
I've been in the same mental frame for about the past year and a half, ever since the invasion of Iraq, which was incidently when I found this place and started learning about things that made me shit my pants with fear.

I went into a deep depression and a kind of paralysis that I'm only now finally coming out of. I finally just decided that was too much of myself to give away to a rat bastard like Bush*.

I know that you have been having issues with depression, and that you recently went through a very traumatic event in your personal life. Under those circumstances it's very easy to fall into despair. If you can find a councellor of some sort, that can be a very helpful resource for getting through these sorts of times.

The truth is that each of us can only do what the best that we can, but none of us can dictate the future or know for sure what it will be. I believe that all the signs are pointing to Bush*'s defeat, but even if he should win, I think that he and his ideology and power base are going down.

If we don't win in November, the fight will be tougher but by no means over. The people of this country that are not fascist lunatics are waking up and starting to stand up and fight back. Whatever happens, I believe we will prevail in the end.

31. Funny, I was just talking for a guy who works for my husband.
He said "Bush is gonna win." I asked why he said that. He said "Well, nobody voted for him last time and he won."

He's a Kerry supporter, but he's worried too. He says they'll steal it somehow. I told him that when they do, we're taking to the streets and asked if he wanted to join us. He said sure.
