Why do some of you believe in Gallup so much when...
There are like ten other polls in Kerry's favor, as well as incredibly positive state polls news out this week? You guys should stop being so cultic about Gallup.

1. Gallup can suck me
They have been on the fringe (always in Bush's favor) for years. I have no idea what their sampling methodology is, but it's got to be whacked out.

I find these polls to be merely tiresome tools of propaganda. I don't care what any of them say. I can just look around and see people are pissed off at the clown currently in office.

2. We don't believe Gallup, but an eager whoring press really, really does.
It's the REPORTING of the poll results that worry me, not the stupid poll itself.

CNN will play that poll non-stop, because it's their poll. Why would they poke holes in the legitimacy of the Gallup pool by comparing it to their competition? It would be akin to McDonald's admitting that Burger King's burgers are better.

4. Wait a minute
So you think John Doe who plans to vote for kerry is going to turn on CNN and see they have Bush leading and he is going to change his mind and vote for Bush?

7. Polls Help To Shape The Campaign...
We all knew that Mondale, Dole, Bush 1, and Dukakis were "losers" long before election day because of the polls...

14. When Did Gore Have A Big Lead....
He might have had a big lead at one point in time as did Bush at one time....

As for Dukakis the air went out of his lead like a blown out tire....

3. Didn't Gallup...
Have Bush up by nine or ten points in their final poll before the 2000 election? The one that Gore won 50.5 - 49.5 (or whatever the fraction of the popular vote worked out to)?

10. The heretical Gallup poll is showing Kerry doing better in the Horserace
Now than he was after the Convention.

"Gallup has been asking the same questions to the same people since 1948" *

Maybe they should start asking diffferent people...

*And Gallup has been doing presidential polls since 1936....
