As a Cubs Fan, I Empathize With Hillary Supporters
Yes, every summer I go into it thinking, "this could be the year."

Some years, I get to cheer in the fall until they are eliminated.

Most years, I stick by the "this could be the year" mantra until they are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

At this stage in the nomination process, Hillary needs 244 delegates to win the nomination and there are 279 delegates remaining in the process.

This could still be the year for Hillary.

I understand.

1. Do Cubs fans go around making shit up about the other teams...
and telling people that no other team can win?

And, and and.

I guess that's why I don't mind Cubs fans. Not because they cheer on their team, but because they don't make up evil shit about the other teams.

2. Pssst, wanna know what the Cubs are REALLY all about?
The Cubs are about drinking beer in Wrigley Field. If the Cubs win, all that much better.

GO CUBS!

;)

12. And the Cubs currently not only lead in the NL Central
They currently have the best record in the NAtional League, which is a far cry from the doormat location they usually hold.

6. Whatever happened to that poor schnook who caught the foul ball
in the playoffs and interfered with it being caught for an out? Didn't they actually blow up the baseball?

10. Steve Bartman
He has returned to obscurity after donating the many gifts he received to charity.

They did blow up the ball.

11. Psst, The Cubs are currently leading in the National League Standings
Although the Sox lead the American Central division, Tampa Bay, Boston, and LA all have better records right now.

13. They will choke down the stretch like they always do.
Hey, when my Sox were eliminated, I rooted for the Cubs, even though I really can't stand the Northsiders.

But I will always have the greatest of respect for Andre Dawson and Ryne Sandburg.

14. Here's a secret...
The only time I don't root for the Sox is when they play my Cubbies.

20. My Stepfather Was A Cub Fan...
Sometimes we even watched games together. Unfortunately he didn't live to be 100, so he never saw them win a championship.
