We may be in real trouble in November election according to this prediction
Edited on Fri May-30-08 12:45 AM by pathansen
See:
http://www.npr.org/news/specials/election2008/2008-election-map.html#/president-nprOvM/
This prediction looks bleak.

Here is electorial votes map
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_Presidential_Election
A comparison with Kerry in 2004, shows that Obama will need to win Pennsyvania and Michigan
and Wisconsin just to be even with Kerry on electorial votes.
So far, he has no state that Kerry didn't have in 2004, at least according to NPR.

ALSO SEE THE FOLLOWING POST:
"Have Dems ever won w/ a candidate who started his race polling behind the GOPer?"

The GOP hasn't even begun to attack Obama yet. They are waiting until the end of the primaries.

13. LOL you are SO wrong ... check out this illustration about attacks:

from 538.com ...

Both Hillary and the repubs have been bashing away at Obama in their press releases for months. Despite that, he won the nomination anyway.

I'm wondering if you've even read the post to which you refer:

ALSO SEE THE FOLLOWING POST:

If you actually read the whole thread, hundreds of people pointed out that that post was riddled with stupidity.

As is yours.

OR else we never would have had Presidents Kennedy, Carter, OR Clinton.

5. I don't get it.
Is this a joke or something? Obama is ahead of McCain in Colorado, New Mexico, and Iowa right now. He's also ahead in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and also tied in Michigan with McCain.

16. It's "concern".
http://www.electoral-vote.com/evp2008/Obama/Maps/May29.html is what we should be watching as the campaign ramps up. It is good at the moment.

6. On the other hand...

HANNITY (and colmes) drew up a similar map -- and they are hardly liable to favor Obama.

In their map, Obama was ahead by 10 points -- I think it was 245-235.

If you were to post a similar map five months before the start of the Primaries, how would Obama's chances against Hillary have looked on that map?

7. Um.. he hasn't even been able to shake his primary stalker yet.. Give him time
once he's the presumptive candidate, he can campaign for "real", and start going after McGrump in a big way.. McGrump has been wandering around with no opposition because Obama's been "distracted" by Hillary's antics:)

8. He hasn't been able to campaign yet
Which is the same reason MI & FL aren't fair. You can't have a real election when one of the candidates have had no opportunity to campaign. That's called a dictatorship.

14. Get a grip. Early polling is meaningless, and besides...
http://www.electoral-vote.com/evp2008/Obama/Maps/May29.html

it shows Obama ahead 266 to 248 at the moment, in case you need a quick fix, and the campaign hasn't really started yet.

But thanks for your "concern"

20. Can someone explain to me why the only posters who hide their profiles are anti-Obama?
Seriously, I'm not being facetious and I'd like an answer if anyone knows.

Can a user hide the fact from mods that he/she has signed up under different user names by hiding the profile? Or does it serve some other function that hides the fact that the poster is only interested in denigrating the Democratic candidate?

21. Whether A Public Profile Is Open Or Not, Sir
Does not affect information available to moderators. That is one of the reasons we agree to maintain confidentiality as a condition of serving as moderators.

People choose to block profiles for a variety of reasons, and are entitled to that privacy if they desire it. Referring to a closed profile as 'proof' of bad intention is regarded as a form of personal attack, like disparaging reference to post count, or donor status.

22. Nah, but it's usually just a dead giveaway
All a profile does is show your avatar and screen name. If you choose, you can add your location, a sig line and a comment. It doesn't tell the mods anything.

BUT ... it's usually a dead giveaway of a troll sighting, imho.

That's some serious alternate universe ya' got there. He's been fighting off attacks from Hillary, her surrogates, McCain, the RNC, and racist pigs on FOX News, and yet he's still commanding the situation. Flip on the t.v., read a paper, surf the internet, and you will find attacks on Obama galore. If you still can't find them, do a search here and you'll have all the nasty links you can stomach reading.

36. i guess you missed this, which was posted a day or so ago:
You want proof that predictions about November made in May are bullshit:

http://electoral-vote.com/evp2004/may/may28.html

And I note that you didn't provide a link to the "see the following post".

Maybe because the statement made in that post was so thoroughly debunked only someone without a shred of honesty would rely on it. So at least by not linking to it, you've indicated that you aren't utterly dishonest. Or maybe you are and you're just sloppy. So, just to fill in what's missing, here's a link:
