My thoughts on this Pastor Pfleger thing.
Edited on Fri May-30-08 08:54 AM by ccharles000
I think what he said was disgusting and I am very happy Obama spoke out against it. I think we should take Obama's lead and not praise this man. I hope that Hillary supporters don't use this to attack Obama because this man does not speak for Obama and is not spreading the kind of message of hope that Obama is.

PS.Lets keep it respectful

2. I agree and disagree
I think Pfleger is a good guy who said something stupid. His message was true as well, though she has a sense of entitlement not because she is white, but because she is a CLinton.

3. I disagree- I don't think he's a good guy
I think he did it deliberately. Why? Many guesses but no answers.

7. Look, I think he believes what he said, but he knew he made a mistake right away
I dont think he is purposely trying to torpedo Obama's campaign.

4. You are a little late
His cheerleaders already got started.

The reaction to this guy on DU is just nasty.

They are to busy having fun laughing and agreeing with that racist pig of a man.

Kudos for trying though Charles.

5. I'm more concerned about the Republicans using this to smear Obama.
This is pure manna to them. You can bet we'll be seeing a lot of this.

6. I think this new story is an attempt to take
Edited on Fri May-30-08 08:56 AM by shraby
Scott McLellan out of the news. Earlier yesterday, CNN was running the gay NJ politician's divorce proceedings. Another poor attempt at diverting attention.

8. I believe the gist of what he said is actually true and right, but he shouldn't have said it nor in
that manner. But he was spot on. Sorry but that's what I think.

9. Bill Richardson, is that you?
I must commend you on having the main theme of your message being civility and not tearing each other down. :patriot:

11. Why is this church tax-exempt?
Besides the fact that the rest of us are carrying religion with our tax money, why does overtly political speech in a church not get them stripped of their aristocratic status?

The thing that's bothered me the most about Obama from the beginning is his unremitting use of religion in politics. That way leads to theocracy and it seems perfectly fine to far too many.

12. I agree that he does not speak for Obama and is spreading a different message.
Obama is right on this one.

But personally, I thought it was hillarious and deserved mockery.
