OMG! Is anybody listening to Hardball?
Matthews just said that Dick Cheney is the most responsible person for putting troops in Saudi Arabia, leading them to attack US on 9/11!

2. He definitely said it!
He talks real fast and the segment was unfortunately very short, but I heard that loud and clear. I'll try to get a transcript. Probably won't be up for awhile though.

6. Here's my (partial) transcription
<also posted this on another thread about the show>

"OK, let’s get something straight. Dick Cheney is probably the man most responsible for the fact that we’ve had troops in Saudia Arabia for ten years….that’s what drove the terrorists to attack the world trade center and the pentagon."

"They are angry that their own Holy lands were besmirched, basically dumped on by the United States for ten years. That sensitivity might have saved us a horror, knowing how angry those people would be about us putting our troops, ten thousand troops in the holy land near Mecca and Medina."

"Why is it stupid to be sensitive to those kinds of insults to a country, to cause people to kill themselves to come get us?"

GO CHRIS GO!!!

3. I am watching Tweety & heard that....
What about what they said about John Edwards?

The reporter covering Kerry/Edwards said he has been sidelined?

And that his speech today had a problem or something?

Cheney has been very high profile....Edwards has been missing.

What is going on? Does anyone know?

4. I heard it too.
He really laid in to the female reporter covering the "cheney campaign." Notice how he didn't even bother mentioning shrub's name at the end?

Matthews is regretting his Bush vote last time and is going to make the right decision this year.
