Interesting thing about Kerry's genealogy
Edited on Fri Aug-13-04 11:39 PM by JohnKleeb
He's related to a brother of a famous Czech rabbi named Judah Loew. Kerry also is related to through his mother to Robert C Winthrop a consesrvative Whig leader in the house, James Bowdoin governor of Maine at one point, John Winthrop first governor of the Massachuetts bay colony, FDR need I Say no more, Jane Addams of Hull House fame, Calvin Coolidge, and eek George HW and W Bush. Another interesting thing is that his first cousin ran for president of France who was a socialist and green.

Bowdoin College in Maine is named after Governor Bowdoin. Kerry and Bush are related to each other.

3. some use this to say they're simliar hah
if thats the case, than the fact that Kerry is related to FDR can be spun to be hes the next FDR and the fact that his beliefs were infleunced by his French cousin can be the same. I thought that college was named after that governor.

10. Apparently Bush and Powell are related, too
Edited on Fri Aug-13-04 11:54 PM by ih8thegop
They are distant cousins, I believe, both direct descendants of one of the early Kings of England. Edward, I think.

Royal blood. No wonder Dubya thinks he's king or something.

12. I thought Powell's folks wree Carribean immigrants
Its likely one of the Edwards. A lot of people related to them. Kerry's father side I think is the one I can identify more with despite being a gentile but you know what, I have my own suspicions about my "Catholicism", I know this is gonna sound :tinfoilhat: but my great grandfather was an Irish guy by the name of Michael Keown, Ive done thousands of searches on that name, never turns up, I wonder if he changed the name from a Jewish name and converted to Catholicism, :tinfoilhat: I am sort of crazy but you already knew that, that would make me Mr. Irish Republicanism supporter only 12.5% Irish and if my great grandmother Joyce whos name I know is definely Irish wasnt, then I wouldnt be Irish at all heh. Yeah I am nuts :tinfoilhat:, I wish someone investigated my family tree the way they did Kerry's :(.

LOL.

As for Bush and Powell, I saw an article somewhere online saying that Bush and Powell are related in that way. Which wouldn't surprise me.

There are no differnt from Al Quaeda in my opinion.

My Republican congressman invited Gerry Adams to our city and I was so disgusted. They can't stand people of English descent.

:puke:

18. Well sorry if we disagree on that but I am big on this issue
Edited on Sat Aug-14-04 07:19 AM by JohnKleeb
I also happen to be part Irish and very Catholic. I admit I am in the minority here with my views on stuff. Why would they hate people of english decent, the GOP is the WASP party. Is your congressman by chance Peter King? I didnt mean any disrespect, I will tell you that I think both sides, both unionist and republican are guilty of terrible actions.I do also prefer more moderate groups like John Hume's, you know peaceful ones.

22. No

It's Jim Walsh. NY-25. Do you have to ask why they hate people of English descent? They viewed the English as occupiers and were seeking to grab independence for Ireland for years. They had no problem plotting terorrism against the government in their own country and against the British government.

Here's an interesting quote from Gerry:

"Rightly or wrongly, I am an IRA Volunteer and, rightly or wrongly, I take a course of action as a means to bringing about a situation in which I believe the people of my country will prosper . . . The course I take involves the use of physical force, but only if I achieve the situation where my people can genuinely prosper can my course of action be seen, by me, to have been justified . . . I cannot complain if I am hurt, if I am killed or if I am imprisoned. I must consider these things as possible and probable eventualities . . . I have no one to blame but myself."

He condones terrorist amd he has no problem wtih it. There was a stretch of terrorism where 52 people were murdered, when he was officer commanding of the IRA 2nd battalion. I guarantee you he had something to do with all of those murders.

Sinn Fein = Al Quaeda

Gerry Adams = Usama Bin Laden

He has one brother and a sister, Cam and Diana, Cameron is much like how Bobby Kennedy was to his brother, a bit distant in age but works hard with his brother and is an adviser, Diana is a teacher in the Boston area and to my knowledge isnt an adviser.
