For me, this is what the campaign needs to read. I never say anything bad about my fellow Democrats (except maybe Zell) but damn it! This time, it's more important than ever. Please read and heed the advice because it will do more for the cause than any other single piece of advice.

1. I hate to disagree with the Howler...

they're my favorite blog, by far. Excellent stuff every day.

But, I think he's way off with this "proactive vs. aggressive" thing.

First, the words aren't synonymous. Proactive has a sense of time that aggressive doesn't have.

Second, when talking about war, the word aggressive has a special meaning that makes it the wrong word. Aggressive wars are illegal, and it would be a gaffe if Kerry promised us one, even if he meant something else.
