Obama does not throw Church under the bus; thinks this is best for the Church to get back to normal
Just said on Press Conference. Said the Church and its members were constantly being scrutinized by media and receiving threats from nutcases.

7. Oh, c'mon. You can't see the sense in that reasoning?
It seems a correct and generous thing to do.

5. And he's right.
He does not want the church to continue to be placed under a microscope because he's running for President.

The fact that some in the media were using the church roster to bug the congregants just makes me sick.

11. What Mosque will he be joining?
Because, the word on The Internet is that he's a Muslim. A gay Muslim. Who hates women. And sunshine. He's a gay follower of Islam whose Jihad against women and sunshine will END US ALL.

16. He was honest in saying he did not want to answer for everything that happens in the church
and does not want the church to answer for everything he does, and be scrutinized all the time. He's hardly being dishonest...

17. Who would remain in a church that seemed hell bent on
defeating you. Either his former church hierarchy didn't have a lick of sense or someone was on the take. Either way, they were bad news.

20. This is exactly why he left -
because of ignorant attitudes like yours being undeservedly heaped on his church.

18. S'wot I mentioned earlier. His candidacy brought too much attn to the church...
...and vice-versa. That church is likely pretty normal for a large church. But when one is the first AA presidential candidate in the US and the GOP and the likes of Hillary are swarming around like vultures with their racist double-standards regarding pastors - it's a liability. What a sad situation for him and his family.
