The cult of personality that Hillary has crafted is striking
It really is remarkable seeing the Hillary supporters today like the woman in the firedoglake video. I'm sorry, but if you're going to vote for McCain over Obama because your candidate didn't win, that makes you a pathetic piece of shit. Since Senator Obama's stances are MUCH closer to Clinton's than McCain's are, the only reason why people would do such a thing is because of someone's personality.

I remember just a few months ago how I was accused of being a naive Obama cultist for supporting him. Remember that? How we were all cultists?

I look at Harriet Christian (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KACQuZVAE3s) and all I can think of is one word....CULT.

1. I think that's where "monkey see, monkey do" really comes frrom..
Crazy monkey mind projects something onto another, then ends up DOing the very thing being
projected in the public square, to their own shame.

she should either start her own white evangelical church (she'd make a killing) or she should start her own syndicated show and become the White Oprah.

52. Do We Reallly Want To Go Down The " Public Lice" Road ?
Antisemitism is exactly the same as delousing. Getting rid of lice is not a question of ideology. It is a matter of cleanliness. In just the same way, antisemitism, for us, has not been a question of ideology, but a matter of cleanliness, which now will soon have been dealt with. We shall soon be deloused. We have only 20,000 lice left, and then the matter is finished within the whole of Germany.

51. It's dumb to be an offense-taking machine
Everyone is going to say something sometime that someone could perceive as offensive. If you're looking for it, you can always be the victim and hold a grudge. Be concerned about what people do. Be concerned about what people keep saying. Don't have to try to psychoanalyze every syllable ever uttered.

8. I actually understand that woman Harriet Christian...
or better said I know people like her. They are my relatives. I fear they will not vote for Obama in the general, and I cannot change their minds. I am guessing they make excuses for not voting for him. There are so many levels involved. I know my dad will vote for him though he is for Hillary. He is a true Democrat. But others have this thing about Obama I cannot figure out. I think they make excuses like he is sexist, which I had never seen, maybe to cover for his being black. I am not a psychologist, but I believe that is the reason. They have experienced what they had. I think Obama's race speech in Phili talked about this problem perfectly.

just two examples of why Clinton supporters don't like Obama. We simply don't share the same values.

Is it true that Axelrod was actually working on a documentary of Pfleger? How much of a misogynist bigot is he?

22. I might have relatives like yours, but
I do know why. For my dad, because Obama is black, and he dearly wanted to vote for (Bill) Clinton.
I spoke to his girlfriend (she's 82;)) today, and she told me she'd have a difficult time voting for Obama. After proclaiming I'd have NO problem, I asked her if it was because he's black, and she admitted that might have something to do with it. I'll be visiting them next month, and will work on both of them if I can. I think the g/f listens to my ornery dad too much, and Dad is a Dem. But he's not at all flexible and doesn't even want a computer. Should be a good vacation with them.

10. It is indeed a cult. Ironic, to say the least. And it is dangerous in many ways.
They hate with a passion I have not seen since George Wallace ran in 1968. Today's DNC meeting was the ugliest thing I have seen in many years.

I fear greatly for Barack. I thought my fears were because of the pro-Hannity crowd. But after today, I am not so sure.

13. I'm not sure it's quite that
though there's a weird and large component of personal adulation in the mix. But there's also a lot of inchoate resentment, which, very sadly, involves for some of them nothing more complex than plain old racism. I don't really subscribe to the notion that race has been a hugely overt factor, calculated or otherwise, so far. I thought perhaps it would be much worse than it has been - and perhaps the worst of it doesn't really gain the spotlight until we get into the GE - but it's part of the foundation on which the Clinton campaign has not only come to rely, but has wooed for many weeks now. The Clinton campaign in its waning days really seems to have magnetized this demographic, which I hope is smaller than I worry it might be. They've got very loud recently, perhaps because they believe that stopping Barack Obama is the real goalpost for '08, and they know that Clinton's chances of being the chess-piece to accomplish that are - or were - far more favorable than McCain's.

27. Primaries are for partisans.. The majority of the people "out there" only know:
who's running?

the Clinton lady
the black guy
the old guy..

most cannot name their own congressperson
or know how many electoral votes their state has
or even know how many SCOTUS members there are
or how many congresspeople there are
or how many senators

Most people vote for the one they "like"..and could not tell you what their philosophies are..

They are some of the sickest (delusional) we have to deal with. I will be very happy to see them all banned.
