Tallahassee Democrat - Sampling of FLA Dems Reactions
http://www.tallahassee.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080601/CAPITOLNEWS/806010327&referrer=FRONTPAGECAROUSEL#pluckcomments

A sampling of what I've seen today amongst some FL Dems. And a reason why Florida is in a race to be the stupidest state in the nation.

Disclaimer - Florida native so I can make the claim.

Karen Thurman and Allan Katz have proven through their own actions that they may have book knowledge but each has absolutely NO common sense. Once again the democratic party has screwed themselves of an election. I will NEVER vote Obama and his racist, hate-filled, anti-American associates into office. However, I will GLADLY give my WHOLE VOTE TO JOHN MCCAIN..our NEXT president.

***************

What a sickening outcome. Disgraced Florida Democratic Party chair Karen Thurman - whose despicable judgment started this mess, by trying to strongarm the voting date for us - calls the dilution of your and my vote "a huge win." Local "lawyer" Allan Katz, a Hussein Obama shill, also voted to strip his OWN Florida constituency of a full vote. AND YOU WANT OUR VOTE IN NOVEMBER? YOU'RE GOING TO LET US BE FULL VOTERS IN NOVEMBER?

How do Thurman and Katz sleep at night? They're not Democrats. They're Communists. Go back to your high school history and political theory books, open to page 1, and read what basic Communist and Marxist theory says about allowing the people a full voice in national matters.

We wouldn't vote for Hussein Obama now if the world collapsed. He was all about the will of the voters, until the will meant Hillary wins. Then he was all about technical rules.

Watch out people. You have no idea who Obama and his shills really are. Just watch out.

I think its healthy for the party that we purge ourselves of these supposed Democrats. Let them go to the GOP where they would be much more comfortable, and welcome.

:wow: just :wow:

Didn't Sen Clinton say herself that Florida and Michigan weren't going to count? Then she was all about making sure they counted when it meant she'd lose?

3. Northern Florida Is Really, South Georgia.
South Florida, (ie Wexler), is, really and mostly, transplanted Northern East-Coasters. Miami is mostly Cuban. West Florida is somewhat transplanted U.S. Mid-Westerners. Central Florida is kinda like the Central U.S.. Our diversity is so vast, no conclusions can be drawn from this.

Republicans. Is this true?

7. Yes, I believe if our elections were fair and balanced,
We would be voting in Democrats for our leaders.

I think our democratic proportionment will shift soon. 3rd generation Cubans are not as vehement about the Castro issue anymore. Therefore, even more Democrats.

8. There's something to that
Certainly Florida Republicans and Democrats share many common interests -- let's put it that way.

(I lived outside Ft. Lauderdale for most of the past 20 years.)

You can divide Florida roughly at I-4.

North of I-4, the outlook is very Southern -- much like a Georgia or Alabama.

On the East Coast, South of I-4, you see a melange of (mostly ) Northeastern transplants (NY, NJ, PA, MD, MA, etc.) and immigrants from the Caribbean and Latin America.

On the West Coast, south of I-4 it is mostly Midwestern transplants (IL, OH, WI, MN, MO) and and immigrants from the Caribbean and Latin America.

Orlando is a melting pot.

So, for example, Debbie Wasserman Schultz (who used to be my representative), represents a hard-core NY, NJ transplant constituency in West Broward -- which is, in part, why she is staunchly pro-Hillary.
