Pulse on the Mom's board I go to
I go to a "Hot Topics" Board on a babysite I belong to. The board is pretty split between Bush and Kerry supporters, with a few undecideds and a few don't cares. In the last three days there have been three different discussions about the Bush campaign going dirty and misleading and how people don't like it! With almost everyone agreeing and saying that Kerry and his supporters are much more respectable! For what it's worth.

Good to hear, KerryKat
and welcome to DU! :hi:

They just surpass their own record for underhanded, dirty smears with each campaign. It's just got to stop.

2. Kerry is smart to keep to the high road
the dirty tricks of Chimp and Company are making them out to be desperate. And the deal with the vets has made vets I know fighting mad...they know how Bush and Cheney didn't serve and how they have screwed vets.

3. Interesting...
My family owns a popular parenting website that also draws a lot of teens and young adults to its message boards. Almost all the message-board members are women, with a fair amount of military wives among them (not all of whom support Bush).

In the polls posted by members to our politics and general-interest boards, Kerry's running ahead of Bush: about 52% to 44%--same as the latest Time mag poll.

In the poll on our teen/young adult board, however, Kerry's leading Bush by 59% to 36%. Granted, some of the teens are too young to vote, but the results give me hope about the future of our country. (The latest Pew poll puts the 18-29 yr. old vote at 53% Kerry to 35% Bush.)

One college-aged member said that in 2000, everyone she knew supported Bush, but this year everyone she knows supports Kerry. Even better: she lives in Florida!
