Kerry Asks Campaign to Help Hurricane Victims
Maybe we should all remember this when we're phoning and doorknocking this week. Red Cross and the usual aid agencies. If anybody has a specific local Florida agency, that would be helpful. Thanks!

"Kerry extended his deepest sympathy to those "whose lives have been just turned topsy turvy and devastated by the destruction of the last hours."

"The work of a lifetime for many people has been blown away and washed away," he said. "I instructed our people in Florida, all of them involved in the campaign, to try to turn their attention to try to help in recovery efforts, providing whatever support that they can, food or clothing or shelter or otherwise."

1. Thats great to know
A heart full of gold that guy has.
Now here's something for the conspiracy theorist.
" Kerry said he supported President Bush (news - web sites)'s emergency declaration for Florida as well as efforts by the state's governor, Jeb Bush, the president's brother, to ensure that the recovery proceeded as rapidly as possible"
BTW good for Kerry, he has a very human response to what happens.

2. Jebbie and Georgie will milk the hurricane for all it's worth.
I wonder how long it will be before they figure out how to blame it on Bill Clinton?
