Sorry, still in a combative mood from the last thread.

9. LOL, I know the feeling.
And I remember hearing about Crashcart's DUIs back in 2000.

3. Back in 2000 I'd get confused - 2 deferments and 5 DUIs?
Or, was it 2 DUIs and 5 Deferments?

Maybe it was so hard to remember because the press was too busy focusing on Gore's stiffness and supposed lies and plain forgot to hammer on "I had better things to do" Cheney... :puke:

Gotta laugh to keep from crying. The sheer aburdity of the press coverage of the 2000 election can still send the brain reeling...

8. Respectfully
Driving while intoxicated is the epitome of self centeredness...

I hope you realize that now....

6. I didn't know either
I didn't find out about Laura Bush until here, but I refused to get into that aspect. My cousin was driving when they had an accident and her best friend died. She's never gotten over it so I won't even go near that topic at all.

13. Speeding
They were and so was the other car. It was raining and lost control of the car. It flipped and her best friend was ejected from the vehicle.

The reason why these type of things bug me is because for one thing, it's traumatic as hell. This accident happened several years ago and she knew she shouldn't have been speeding even though the other car had crossed the yellow line. Visibility wasn't that great.

She went through hell and even though she's back on her feet, she still blames herself and to an extent she is responsible, but IMO, she's paid for it still does.

She has to live with that for the rest of her life. I don't know Laura Bush and I won't even speculate if she feels any guilt or not.

I think it's callous to assume she feels nothing for what happened and went on about her life as usual. That's just my opinion.

11. I don't think they're alcoholics
I think they're power hungry assholes for starters.

You're being too nice by calling them alcoholics. LOL

12. This is supposed to be a 70's documentary
on the Republican plan for an eventual 2000 campaign featuring the "Gas, grass, or ass: nobody rides for free!" Bush/Cheney driving team.

15. Ewww
That movie came on, of all channels, AMC (American Movie Classics). It was horrible, and further solidified my opinion that the only good things to come out of the 70s was Funk, Punk, U2 (founded in 76), and Star Wars.
