I thought Dick Cheney looked like a sore looser bully, that was trying to convince "followers" that he was cool, while showing off to all the other bullies in the Bush administration. What he doesn't get, is that he made a fool of himself and looked so completely insensitive about the war that his true intentions shined. How can you NOT be sensitive to a country that we have invaded that has innocent people and children that are getting blown up everyday, or what about all our men and woman that are getting killed everyday to satisfy this vendetta. How can you NOT be sensitive to a war that was started on false information, how do we ask for our allies to support us in ending this war without a bow of the head, and a little sensitivity displayed?? Maybe Kerry is referring to America's embarrassment, shame and regret when he says he will be sensitive when dealing with the subjects of this war. After all Kerry has first hand knowledge of a pointless war and worked hard to stop it, with passion and democracy instead shock and awe.....
Sometimes sitting back with a peace of mind and showing humbleness towards evil, allows us to understand it better. Bush had taken us back to the primitive idea of an eye for an eye, the problem is his narrow minded concept that there is only one way and it's black and white it's his way, doesn't work with terrorist and dictators like Saddam.
Sure 9/11 changed everything, and I believe invading Afghanistan was the right thing to do when the Taliban chose to harbor Bin Laden, but the Bush administration chose to invade Iraq for their own gain, and they used 9/11 to feed on our fears. They should have stayed with the task at hand, capturing Bin Laden, and half of the shit happening in Iraq wouldn't be happening. We left one of the most evil men to hide and went after one that was an easy target. The proof is in the pudding, Bush's plan didn't work!
So maybe, just maybe, Kerry can show a little sensitivity to try and end this bloodbath. Kerry has the experience fighting a war at home trying to end a war abroad, let him save our integrity as a nation so we can start mending the fallout of a bunch of American bullies.
In 2000, I watched as they swore in my new president George W. Bush and his sidekick, decision maker war happy, Dick Cheney, and I sat back wondering what the hell had just happened, and as it dawned on me that we were all just duped, the message that the Bush Camp was banking on was....DON'T BOTHER TO VOTE!!...With that attitude he was guaranteed a second term...The 2000 election was a mockery of our political system, even down to having the only option of voting for the lesser of two evils. But that was then and this is now, and as Bush/Cheney have 9/11 to feed off, and a war to defend, we as Americans have a good solid example now of the differences between a Republican President and a Democrat one, Clinton lead us to success, Bush tore it down...Now we have John Kerry and John Edwards to mend our wounds and save us from self destruction and repair the wrong doings of this administration. All we can pray for are for these two men to bring our country back together.
