Chris Matthews: Bush Is On His Way Out
Did anyone catch his show a little bit ago?

They agreed that Bush is on his way out, but a lot of people aren't sure about Kerry as pres.

1. Is it wrong that I am starting to like Pat Buchanan?
He's not bad when he's only on the show as an analyst or a commentator!

And although I may disagree with him it's quite clear he actually BELIEVES in what he says and stands up for his beliefs no matter what, which is why he bashes dems AND repubs.

4. Scary To Agree With Buchanan
Several months ago I was listening to him commentating about something(can't remember what)but I remember being shocked I could even agree with him.

Scared the hell out of me.

17. Buchanan and Eleanor Clift
On McLaughlin, Buchanan and Eleanor Clift are more often in agreement with each other than they are with the other right or left wingers or centrists that appear. Kind of an odd couple!

6. no. never
He is a Nazi scumbag, xenophobic, anti-choice, misogynist ASSHOLE.

Criticizing Bush or the war does not get one a free pass. Buchanan has too much to atone for all he has done.

I won't forget his red-baiting the Dems during the Reagan era, his work for the Nixon White House, or his calling South Africa "The Glorious Boer Republic" during the height of apartheid.

Jesus fucking christ! I saw this same kind of blindness for John McCain, and look where that ended up.

We gotta get a grip on who our allies REALLY are, and Buchanan ain't it!

There are too many sins for him to atone for before he even deserves consideration for redmeption... Goddess I hope he right on this issue, but he's still Hitler-Lite.

but it's a goodie.

I rememeber after Buchanan's frightening 1992 GOP convention speech the joke was going around tht it sounded much better in the original German.

10. As much as anyone, Chris Matthews is responsible
for giving us 4 years of AWOL. The night after night barrage versus Clinton and Gore by him and the other cablenet pol pundits produced the atmosphere in which an unqualified lifetime screwup became president. Now they're at it again. Screw him. He'll be whoring for the GOP this fall.

You will be getting a whole new group of people who surround and advise the presidency... you must weigh that in as well. I am sure it would be far better to have people who think like JK in the WH rather than the corporate thugs we have in there now.

35. Mathewes asks what Kerry's position is. What's his?
One day he's sweating republican, the next day he's praising liberal Byrd. Matthews is a shill and an entertainer. Nothing more. Not to be trusted.

I recall that all through out Clinton's winning presidency, Matthews dogged him. Made no difference. The public responded favorably to Clinton no matter how much Tweety cried and hollered.
