Deja Vu: another Florida Hurricane, another president Bush
except that instead of a Democratic governor - Lawton Chiles during Hurricane Andrew in 1992 - brother Jeb is there now.

1. Should keep the comparisons coming between
* and Poppy. It drives him nuts to be forever stuck in the old man's shadow.

3. I laughed out loud this morning
The news had a picture of the pRez and brother Jeb on. The voiceover was "We will not tolerate looters!" And there they were, showing the two biggest looters in the country!!

All they needed was a running message line underneath the two smirks saying, "We got here first!"

4. 12 Years ago we got married
My best friend from Miami was my Matron of Honor, she went home to experience Andrew and a Bush was the President. We just celebrated our 12th anniversay and here was another L4 hurricane and a Bush is the President. I will let you know what happens 12 years from now, hopefully another Bush will not be president!

We got power back at our house late saturday afternoon. We're luckier than most. We have family staying with us because of trees on their roofs and no power in their neighborhood. The workers said up to a month before they get power down to their house! Maybe these guys didn't know what they were talking about?
Question? I've seen energy co workers out, and trees cutters out, where is our Florida national guard? We need help here cutting trees and hauling them out so the power lines can go back up in neighborhoods. People can't go back to work and make money to survive until we have power back. Oh, and how much you wanna bet the credit card companies will act like they never heard of the hurrican and try to charge late fees when we can't mail out our payments or even receive a bill.(greedy bastards) (I know I had to argue about these extra charges after 911)

So, the difference this time is that there is no local national guard to help clean up... I guess Iraq is more important than Fla.
