Starting to see more visible support of Kerry in my part of MO
I should add that I live in a county that Gore won in 2000, but by ONE measly vote, if you can believe that. If you don't believe me check out the link (if it works):

http://www.sos.mo.gov/enrweb/countyresults.asp?eid=14&cids=1620&arc=1&cboCounties=1620&submit1.x=70&submit1.y=16

Having said that, I had been rather discouraged lately by the lack of support (i.e. signs and bumper stickers) I had been seeing for Kerry-Edwards. That changed today as I was driving on my way to the grocery store.

On the road, I saw one Kerry-Edwards sticker. Then upon pulling into the parking lot, I noticed the car to my left also had a Kerry sticker. Then upon leaving the grocery store, a new car had parked to my right, and it had a Kerry sticker on it too. I thought that was pretty cool. At one point there could have been three cars sitting in a row all sporting Kerry stickers.

I also saw three Kerry-Edwards yard signs today, but best of all, NO Bush signs. I did see one "W '04" sticker in the grocery store parking lot. So to summarize, my findings for today were:

Bumper stickers: Kerry 4 (including my own) - Bush 1
Yard signs: Kerry 3 - Bush 0

This put me in a good mood, Missouri is very evenly divided right now, and like a lot of swing states, we'll need a good turnout among Dems to counter the largely Republican rural vote. From what I've seen today, it looks like people in my area are motivated to vote for Kerry.

1. Very good method
There's no more scientic way to judge the feelings of voters than by looking at bumper stickers and yard signs.:7 Of course, it's science so Bush will naturally denounce it.

2. Thanks for that encouraging report from
your part of Missouri!

I haven't seen any stickers yet here in my section of New York.

I'm waiting for mine to come in the mail.

I've been passing out Kerry/Edwards pins at work, to whomever wants one. Four so far + me is 5. :)

4. You have pins? They're rare as hensteeth here.
I have seen one count 'em one table selling Kerry/Edwards buttons and that was all the way over on the West Side.

3. I think the sudden appearance of signs...
could have something to do with the 20,000+ crowd that recently turned up to see Kerry in Kansas City. :)

9. Waaaaaay cool!! I'm seeing many many more Kerry stickers
all over the place. My state is mostly "blue" but we have a wealthier more conservative population in my immediate community--its a mix really.

For the most part one would see either dead head, enviro related, anti war type stickers OR nothing. Now, there are KERRY stickers EVERYWHERE. Wooohooo Stickers on cars and in car windows. Even in cars that wouldn't dare sully thier bumpers with such things.

It's a miracle and a GREAT sign. I'm excited. I went up to an older fellow waiting outside the bank who had a kerry sign in his back window. Bent down to tell him nicly that I liked his kerry sticker; gave him the thumbsup, smiled and walked on.

LOL, unfortunately I had to drive to another town which is definately hard core conservative. I had to do some school shopping. The back of my van has a BUSHbringing fascism into the 21st century! sticker...among others on it. When I got back to my van, one of my bumper stickers had been tampered with.. it didn't come off though Muahahaahahah
