A moment ago I was feeling down after reading the GQ article http://us.gq.com/features/exclusive/printables/040727feco_03/?pagination=none about the horrid treatment of Joe Darby and his family, the guy that blew the whistle on the prison torture.

So please, if anyone else has great photos of Kerry or Edwards campaign rallies please post them. They're good for morale.

Here are some of the Las Vegas NM whistlestop. Not 50k, but 8k turnout wasn't bad for a town of 15,000 population!

A few from Flint, some from Taylor. I like focusing on individuals, though, so there's not a sense of the size of the crowd so much as the spirit.

7. Another Portland

It pulls in the people around the tree and more to the left side too. Still doesn't look like the whole crowd. Organism says there were people outside who couldn't get in as well.

I was there and took these pics. Local papers estimated crowds between 15,000-17,000. Biggest local turnout since John F. Kennedy

10. Not technically a rally...

But John Kerry was taking a break at his home in Idaho this last weekend and flew out of Twin Falls, Idaho today. Last night, the state dem party sent out an email asking dems across the state to attend. Considering the late notice, the location (Twin Falls), and the fact that it is Idaho, I was impressed with the turnout (at least a hundred people)...

It was HUGE and a beautiful plane, plus John was 2 hours late and that was the only thing to take pictures of!
