FLA DUers: What are your independent newspapers

Reports are that FL is drawing up felon lists (AGAIN) and intimidating elderly African-American activists.

Sounds like deja-vu all over again to us outsiders.

We need contacts and references so the pressure can be put on. We need to let Jebbie know he and his cronies are under intense scrutiny.

CCampaign Underground is a valuable tool, but it doesn't really help us identify the non-corporate media, so we need your help.

Where do you get your "under the radar" news?

We have a bunch.

My favorite is Asheville Global Report and The Asheville Disclaimer. (The Disclaimer is supposed to be a parody, but they report the news better than the "official" mainstream newspaper."

2. Send it to to main paper in certain cities

The Sun Sentinel in broward, the Miami Herald and the ST Pete times are all good papers.

.. well-written with a good editorial line and balanced op-eds.

A marked contrast to the local press is the UK which is almost universally right-of-centre, parochial and full of second-rate sloppy journalism.
