3000 Dead? GOP says "Party" !?
What part of the RW brain says 'hey, where is the city that has suffered the most under this administration? Let's have the party there.' ??? Even with the complicity of the media, it won't look right. Did Roosevelt even consider holding a party at Pearl Harbor?

Hasn't this city sufferred enough without the burden of being invaded by a bunch of insensitive stooges who just want to use the WTC site as a backdrop for their 4 day photo op/xenophobia fest?

While they spend about 15x more per capita in Homeland Security dollars in Wyoming, they come here. This in addition to the expense burden that the city must foot every time they raise the alert level.

We are probably going to hear more bullshit about how they came here to spend money and be in solidarity with the victims, the facts say otherwise.

11. It is an excellent point . . .
They will be invoking 9-11, parading firefighters, cops and service personnel in front of the camera as the anniversary approaches. Milking it for all it's worth at the expense of the dead.

The flip side will be flowing booze, flowing money, and a giant "10 commandment free zone" at New York Harbor where most of the influence peddling parties will be held.

New Yorkers. I know you are used to a certain degree of dirt but you should really consider having the whole city sprayed down after these jokers leave.

6. No -
There is no comparable location for the Dems.

Bush/Cheney are returning to the scene of the crime, as criminals always do, at least in myth.

5. Ghouls
I couldn't agree more. We don't want them here, they know it, and they don't give a damn. If anyone deserves NOT to have this kind of stress and burden put on us, it is New Yorkers. Thanks George, for making us the number one target, AGAIN. Thanks for forcing me to buy batteries and water and canned food just in case, AGAIN. Nightmares, AGAIN. Streets closed, emergency vehicles, state troopers on the corners, national guard in the subway, cops with automatic rifles and bomb-sniffing dogs, AGAIN.

This is psychological abuse of a city that still has PTSD. My only consolation is that those republican slobs from the red states are going to suffer far more anxiety than us. At least we've got the hang of it now.

He should reach his 1000 by the convention.

9. Yes, that's what I was thinking during the new terror alerts.
For a city that has been through so much, can you get any tackier or greedier then running your convention there? Knowing there's a chance that that very convention could cause more attacks? Absolutely no shame.
