What if "Rep_Strategist" showed up at DU?
What if a strategist from the Bush campaign started posting here at DU? What advice would you give him/her?

I'd advise Rep_Strategist to get Bush out there speaking... constantly. The American people need his eloquence!!! And his speeches should be loaded with difficult-to-pronounce polysyllabic words, which really impress swing voters.

5. Wouldn't surprise me. As incompetent as they are, they'd need a lot of
assistance and advise.

7. I personally think that America wants to see
Vice President Cheney all the time. Nothing better than ol' Dick Cheney for making me want to vote.

10. Dick Cheney should speak out more about CEO fraud
That would really resonate with voters.

Oh yeah... and never let those meddling kids from Scooby Doo pull the mask off of bin Laden or Sadam because we know (based on every Scooby Doo episode) that Cheney will be under there.

9. I think my head would explode
A republican strategist on DU...funny thought.

I would recommend that Cheney hold a town hall type meeting with MTV. You know, let the young kids know how hip he is. Coooool, like the Fonz.

I think Bush would look very compassionate if he chose to campaign in the unemployement lines all across the country.

And of course he should spend time campaigning in Texas...Austin to be specific. With Tom DeLay. They could bring up redistricting. We Austinites LOVE that topic. :grr:

11. Talk more about the need for all Iraqis to have good health care.
And good schools. And how so far we've spent $200 billion in Iraq, and how we have absolutely no idea how much it will cost before we leave and what the results will be.

Then talk about how we should privatize Medicare.

12. I would tell him/her
that they should push very hard for Evangelical Christianity across the board. None of that silly Judaism, Buddhism, Catholicism, Islam or any of those other "fake" faiths. That is what most Americans want, for the Government to tell them how, when and where they should pray and to whom. I would invite all the well known evangelical ministers onstage during the Convention to collectively give a fire and brimstone speech and tell us how all non believers will burn in hell. That is sure to get a lot of votes!

15. I'd want to know...
...where they're hiding Tom DeLay. I mean, he is the true heart and soul of the Republican Party, and as responsible as anyone for the glorious achievements of the past 4 years. They really need to have him out front and center, traveling across America nonstop from now until Nov. 2. Especially to places like California and Illinois and Oregon, where the people truly need to hear the Republican Gospel from the Man Himself who best articulates it.
