Poll question: Do You Want To See More Of Kerry On His Harley?
Edited on Tue Aug-17-04 05:42 PM by cryingshame
Would you enjoy seeing photo ops of Kerry riding his bike or could you do without it?

I think Kerry should get some interviews in Biker magazines.

You KNOW Junior couldn't control a big bike like Kerry's Harley.

Pretty popular past time here on Long Island.

I know a lot of guys who could relate.

3. YES In fact his Harley is MY Harley!!!
Or close to it. Kerry rides a Dyna-Wide Glide my personal favorite model from Harley. It has the beautiful chopper-esque look and is the sleekiest looking beauty on the road baby.

I used to ride a Dyna Lowrider which is just basically just a lowered version of the Wide Glide but man as soon as I get some money..

I think we should join start a club Harley Riders for Kerry!!

15. Did someone say Honda??

My dad's bike. He's a Honda guy. I'm the one who prefers Harleys.

I cannot deny the awesome Honda Valkyrie. I really wish they hadn't stopped making them.

4. No thanks!
My first reaction when I saw the last photo was "christ, where's your helmet?"

I'm in a state with the helmet laws, so I'm not used to that image at all. Also, my mom's saved a guy's life who hit a pebble and wiped out. She was driving on a rural road, turned a corner, and found him sprawled in the middle of the road unconscious bleeding out of both ears. So I'm really unsettled seeing him like that. He's got a job to do; I will be unspeakably pissed at him if he gets himself killed because he doesn't like how a helmet feels.

If other photo ops are with the helmet, I'll reconsider.

20.  You are fortunate to live in a state with helmet laws...
Illinois had one until the damned repukes overturned the legislation. A very stupid move.

5. Kerry landed a fellow's vote
here in AR because of the photo of him shooting a rifle. So if the Harley earns him votes, why not?

6. I voted NO...
But maybe there should have been a 'who cares' choice.

If he REALLY is a Harley enthusiast, then it would be better. Has he made the Sturgis run? Poker run in Key West? Or is he just posing.

(I honestly don't know)

8. Sturgis isn't exactly a family friendly place...
You can be a Harley rider without attending events that involve topless women running around and drunken animals looking to fight eachother.

I don't think that would help his image much...

Now if Kerry came on wearing the tough biker gear and claimed to be a junior Diablo then we'd have something to smack him about..

11. If you have to explain to people that he really does ride a Harley
then, in my opinion, it would look like posing and he shouldn't play it up.

24. He bought the bike two years ago.
Sold the one he had before he got the one he rides now. He really is a rider. Men's Journal did a write up on him two years ago. In fact the reporter went with him to pick up the bike.

23. No he shouldn't. Reminds me how against my principles my vote for him is.
As a sportbiker, voting for a Harley rider is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Hopefully my other crotch rocket riding friends won't find out. :)

26. What was that sitcom... the "Renegade"?
I'm thinking of that pic of Kerry on the police bike, and I thought what a great finish that would make for an ad. People will think "this man can ride a bike... this man is comfortable on one..." and subliminally it'll go in that it was a police bike. You know, figures of authority, and all that. I also remember a sitcom that I saw many many years ago, I thin it was called "Renegade." Had this guy with long hair riding into the sunset with really apropos theme music. Of course, we'd have to ditch the sunset and other "sensitive" imagery, but that music fading away as the ad ends with Kerry making a wide turn, wheels in slo mo... they can make viewers watch some retread of the same ol' plot with that, surely they can sell a president!
