Help me understand how this would work, please.

The DNC decided to not take lobbyist, PAC, and special interest money today, but the DLC does. There is talk of Obama's campaign giving money to repay for Hillary's campaign and the “party uniting”. If the party “unites” wouldn’t the lobbyist, corporations, and special interest still be in our pockets? Will the Obama campaign get monies from both the DLC and DNC?

And if so, is this election about change or politics as usual?

His campaign can't give her campaign money. He can hold fundraisers for her but no direct giving of money over the basic 2400.00 max.

From here forward is a damn strong move which means any newly minted donations will not be tainted.

Hes already not beholden to the previous money or its donators and wont be to any new ones either.
So while the money may be muddy the control it wields has been washed off and away.
