Regarding Kerry's haircut
Keith Olbermann just reported the story, with a comparison to the Clinton haircut scandal (which I believe has been debunked). Didn't Bush fly his personal chefs to London, and at taxpayer expense?

1. Don't forget the story as to how
a flight was held up for hours so that Skittles (Jenna Bush) could get onboard

2. I don't know about that but there was a story bout
bush's interior decorater who was upset at a certain book signing(for a Democrat's book) that was held somewhere that he was. This interior decorator said that bush had hired him for 2005 in the White House.

I can't remember who the author of the book was that told this story..maybe some duer can recall what the heck I'm talking about.

5. Just as I thought
The Clinton Haircut story was retracted by the Dallas Morning News on July 1, 1993. It was also retracted by the LAT, Newsday, and others:

http://politus.blogspot.com/2004/04/debunked-clintons-haircut-at-lax.html

After 11 years, Olbermann should let this myth die. As to his reporting of Kerry’s haircut, any story about Kerry can easily be topped by something Bush has done (if only it were reported).

3. Didn't * totally trash HRH's 100 year old gardens with
his helicoptors. Oh but wait, the media (& Asscrack) provided a timely diversion with the indictment of Jacko. Thereby diverting the attention of John Q six pack from the fact that 250,000 people were in the street in London protesting *.

Sorry didn't mean to drail this thread, but Kerry can spend whatever he wants on haircuts. It's not on the taxpayers dime so it's a total none issue.

6. Who cares about his frickin' haircut??
Was it on the taxpayer's dime? No. If the man wants to get his haircut by the guy that usually cuts his hair, who cares? One would think that most people could relate.

7. In my neighborhood, people think it is crazy to pay $75 for a hair cut
This is an example of something in which Kerry fails to connect with those of us at the lower end of the income scale.

Kerry and Bush spend more money on a necktie that most of us spends in groceries for an entire month.

9. I cut my own hair but if somebody is rich and wants
a really good haircut by a stylist with magic scissors..it's their call, imv. $75.00 is actually low high end.

care to infer from that?

he said it several times, just as ONeill said, at least FOUR times on Tweeety, that Kerry shot that poor Cong guy, you know the one that tried to blow up his ship with an RPG, in the BACK

four times he said that

12. What difference does it make?
What someone spends on anything is irrelevant. I've had $85 haircuts and $8 haircuts. You never 'splurged' on anything?

Maybe it's just me - but someone's net worth means nothing. They're either decent people or they're not and I don't give a damn how they spend their money. I do care about how they will govern and how they will affect my country's well being.

19. I wouldn't pay $75 bucks either...
but then again, my face is not on national TV every day. I guess if paying $75 for a hair cut gives you a bit more confidence when you're standing in front of dozens of TV cameras, it's a bargain.

14. Contrast Bush v. Kerry
Kerry: Flew his hairdresser across the country to give him a trim.

Bush: Flew a fighter jet until he went AWOL.
Bush: Flew from Florida to a fortified bunker in the midwest on 9/11
Bush: Flew Saudi nationals out of the country after 9/11
Bush: Flew through Yale with a C- average.
Bush: Flew to Crawford, Camp David, and Kennebunkport for a little R&R lasting 1/3 of his term.
Bush: Flew, shipped, and dragged 130,000 young Americans halfway around the globe to engage in a preposterous war against a feeble dictatorship which posed no threat to us.

Heh... who's the flyboy now, assholes?

17. I don't have a problem with the personal hairstylists
politics is all about TV, you can't take a risk with your hair with some stylist who has some wild idea. Or worse yet, Kerry goes into some Portland salon were the stylist is a Michael Savage listener and gets out the electric trimmer and gives him a reverse mohawk - election over.

18. hairdressers need jobs too
Only the pugs could make a "scandal" out of a haircut.

Now some of their haircuts are scandalous, I'll admit that. Tom DeLay for one.
