I thought she said she speaks for herself, yet STILL her supporters are coming out and saying that Hillary would take the spot of VP if offered?! Since when is that the way it works? I don't recall this happening before EVER. Why can't people just let Obama be the nominee and let him have the honor of deciding who he wants as HIS VP? Why are they mentioning that over and over? She's not a little girl and she's not incapable of speaking for herself. They're trying to force Obama into choosing someone he may not want to choose. Some etiquette, please?

And a know a few close to the NY HR delegation.
They are fine.

This primary may have strained their relationship a little, but they are fine.

15. the good thing about Andrea Mitchell is that only 50% of what she says is true when she says it
and only 0% is true within 48 hours. :eyes:

18. Maybe you're more in touch than I am -- I don't watch much
but remember that first report about Clinton wanting to be offered the VP slot so she could turn it down? That was Fineman. Mitchell reported that her sources said, Clinton DID really want the job.

17. Chuck is not officially DLC
Edited on Fri Jun-06-08 01:39 PM by Zodiak Ironfist
But he has given speeches at their functions and he has taken money multiple times from the DLC to finance his trips. So his hand is in their cookie jar even though he is not a member.

Chuck is head of the DSCC, which pretty much does all of the recruiting of center-right Dems to run for office in the Senate....most of which are DLC.

Chuck runs a DLC front operation, in my opinion. He is one of their biggest non-member allies in the Senate.

Edited on Fri Jun-06-08 07:43 PM by Zodiak Ironfist
then yes, you would be right.

But it will not last much longer if the DLCs power base continues to slip. We have them on their heels, now, but they will come out the next round swinging...probably looking to their Republican friends to help them. I hope I am wrong and they fall into line, but I do not trust them at all.

24. More of Hillary's mixed messages
Public "denial" from her personally while the surrogates do all the dirty work on her behalf.

Obama should assume the worst is going on under the radar even if she comes out with a public statement in support of his candidacy. Anyone who had to be persuaded to back their opponent only after an intervention is probably not going to be very sincere.
