Poll question: DUPAC ( Democratic Underground Political Action Committee)..Good Idea?!
Edited on Fri Jun-06-08 06:58 PM by DerekJ
At the time where the internet plays a key role in literally making or breaking a political campaign and where many citizens currently get their information directly from the internet. DU stood strong to dispel any malicious rumors about the democratic candidates, provide fair analysis, and talking points to its members that I’m confident were spread all over the internet to help those candidates against smear campaigns, republican propaganda.

I’m suggesting a petition to the owners of DU to take the role of DU a step further, by registering DU as a Political Action Committee, or a 527 where and if allowed by the law. Such a transformational step will allow the vast amount of energy invested in DU by its members to be used in something even more productive and useful; Help in the process of electing democratic candidates with progressive values, and work to defeat (Where allowed by the law) the republican candidates using different media channels like internet advertising, TV, radio, and newsprint.

For instance, members of DU can discuss an Internet AD, agree on the content and general design for it, get our talented members to create it, and donate to DU (up to the maximum allowed) to launch that AD over the internet. Later on, may be we can even launch TV and radio Ads.
The poll below will ask you if you support this idea if it’s at all possible. Let me know what you think.

7. Lol I was going to say "Not to be confused with Tupac" in the OP, but the idea is already silly
