Kerry repudiation the MoveON response just makes it more effective
as long as the Ad-campaign expands and is well funded.

MoveOn can even keep releasing modified versions of the AD to address any "supposed" inaccuracies: Just to get the Mainstream media to play it again and again.

It's all GOOD as long as MoveOn keeps on moving! An effective counter-offensive against Swift-Smear is really a 3 part campaign:

Step 1: Pin the Smear on Bush. MoveOn's first “Swift Response” does this beautifully. Its fantastic that they ignore Bush Admin “we are know nothing” protestations.

Step 2: Demolish the smear-mongers. Demonstrate that the Ad "dishonest and dishonorable and that it even misrepresents the people in the Ad.

Step 3: Use the OPEN DOOR of the Swift-Smear to further promote Kerry's record of honorable and courageous services.

Bush's negatives are already so high that "pinning the smear" may not have much effect. Hopefully Kerry’s deep-pocket supporter will back a full MoveOn “Response” campaign at least to completing "Step. 2" even as Kerry strongly denounces any “inappropriateness.”

Step three is going to be are real pile-on with Butler's "Upriver" movie on Kerry.

The “Swift Boat Veterans for B.S” are well on the way to sinking Bush's boat.
