Anyone hear Keyes LIE on Crossfire?
Begala and Carlson did a bit with him on today. Begala said Obama was invited but refused. I can't disagree with that decision.

Anyhoo...Keyes stated that affirmative action was a Republican policy first. That is was started by Nixon. WRONGO you delusional piece of... <regaining control> History of AA policies: http://www.inmotionmagazine.com/aahist.html

It's time for a LTTE me thinks, and yet I'm not sure I want to give any of my time with it. Maybe ignoring him is a better and more effective way of marginalizing this joke.

1. He hears his masters voice

It is probably better to let him rant and ignore him/
He is a Clarence Thomas neocon of the first order.
How sad.

2. Keyes is incapable of lying.
Lying requires the intent to deceive, and since Keyes is unable to distinguish between right and wrong, truth and falsehood, reality and fantasy, he is unable to form the requisite intent. In short, since he believes what he says is true - even if it contradicts his prior positions or known facts - technically, he isn't lying. 'Ranting' would probably be more accurate.

3. How is it that this man is still among sane people?
I understand what you're saying. I just don't understand how he has managed to get any play from serious political decision makers. The Republicans and hacks would tear him apart if he were a Dem.

4. I think the test is whether he is 'a danger to himself or others'
so as long as he doesn't get elected - and there doesn't seem to be much chance of that, I would be against having him committed.

5. confabulation
Edited on Tue Aug-17-04 11:57 PM by buycitgo
Bush is a confabulator

Matthew Dowd and his pals Ed Gillespie, etal, are LIARS, paid liars

Bush and Keyes, as you said, don't know the difference, though Bush does some of the time

who else are confabulators?

can't think of any others right now; all the other pugs who come immediately to mind are just garden variety liars

6. Bush knows he's lying. He not only has the intent to deceive,
he seems to barely to be able to suppress his glee when he's lying.

8. Keyes Is Grandstanding...
I think this dude is figuring that "if I'm gonna lose, I'm gonna have fun doing it"...and probably on the RNC's dime.

I remember in 2000 when he actually jumped into a Mosh pit and showed a wild and wacky side that made him one of the few "fun" ones in that gaggle of hypocrites. And it didn't matter to Keyes then either as he knew * had bought the nomination, all he was doing was using his color and his colorful oratory and making a "name" for himself.

Watching that video of him singing (it's really not too bad, if you add Calypso Louie Farahkahn on violin) "Over The Rainbow" and his over the top comments, he's out to ride the PR this mess has generated for all he can.

I see Keyes as the future Buchanan. He's already out of the "mainstream" in that goofy party and he's gonna get his ass kicked out sooner or later, then play Mr. Third Party or become the media pundit he really dreams to be.

Obama's playing it just right here in Illinois. Everyone here is turning Keyes off...the Repugicans in embarassment...and all his chatter goes to the beltway food fighters.

10. Yea...But...
Buchanan is harmless now and makes sense every so often. He's helped soften up the "true conservatives" who appear to be less than excited about another 4 years of this regime.

Delusional can provide hours great entertainment as long as it's a freak show like Keyes. But we musn't let it distract from the real delusional types who are destroying our government.

BTW...did you hear about the peace rally in Barrington on Sept. 19th? Sounds like a good time.

Cheers!

11. no! thanks.......hope I can make it
that's pretty close to me

also, I don't think Buchanan is harmless

I think he was part of a........conspiracy!!!! to highjack the Reform party last time

he hardly campaigned at all. had they put up a candidate who did, with their bankroll, they may have taken enough votes away from the gerbil in key state/states to make Florida irrelevant. who knows. It pleases me to wallow in that fantasy

it makes sense, IMO, and do you put ANYthing past them?
