I missed that GA poll?!

IF that poll is correct, Bush is absolutely screwed. It's weird, because I just started a thread on GA the other day asking if there is any chance to make this state competetive. I'm also encouraged by the CO numbers.

Let's wait to see if another poll shows similar data. For now I'm cautiously optimistic. Kerry may not win GA (or CO) but if Bush is spending $$ on these states and not on OH, MO, and FL, well...

3. Exactly
Bush is going to have to campaign where he did not think he had to.

The GA poll might be an anomoly..granted. But everything is looking great. Hear is the oddity. I look at the news over the last week or so and other than the swift boat dust up there has not been much negative to report on the bushies, So if he is doing nothing to negatively effect his own numbers, Kerry must be gaining on his own strengths...In GA of all places.

It just shows you how shallow Bush's support with swing voters.

My Brother-in-law was an aide to Denise Majette. He swears up and down that there is no way she can defeat Isakkson....now I am not so sure.

4. My guess is that the GOP is now so desperate
that there will be an August surprise, a September Surprise, an October surprise and a November surprise. This is going to get very, very, very ugly before Nov. 2nd and we've got to be prepared to fight. Truth out!

5. the rethug sleaze machine isn't in hgh gear yet
if this poll is good after the rethug "conclave" in NYC then I will be happy-but we are going to have to survive the crap machine of Rove where the GOP launches negative personal attacks.
But I have read Kerry is a good closer and if he is that will be a thing of beauty:D

6. This all part of the right wing plan
Have Bush come into the convention in the low 40's, and after the convention have him in the high 40's. This way they can talk about his Big Bump!

8. I wouldn't get too excited about that because it is a Strategic Vision pol
l because those have been much closer one way or the other in a whole series of states than other polls.

11. After seeing those results
Edited on Wed Aug-18-04 07:57 AM by fujiyama
I decided to look for them on SV's website.

The results that electoral-vote.com has aren't to be found. This is all I found and it seems as though Bush is ahead 54-38, with Nader taking 1.

http://www.strategicvision.biz/political/georgia.htm

That's the main reason I don't like the electoral-vote.com 's "analysis". It's just a snapshot of various polls rather than any sort of trend. It makes no differrence between what firm and worst of all they give no link to the polling firm.

10. The Oklahoma numbers are no surprise
I spoke with my sister-in-law on Sunday and asked her how Kerry was doing. She said, "There are only four democrats left in Oklahoma. Me, my best friend, her sister, and Billie. (our cousin) I'm in NC now and the race is getting exciting down here. Our local unemployment number is 7.8%. NC is definitely in play.

12. I agree - NC is in play
The unemployment numbers are pretty grim here. The Pillowtex closing still hurts many in Kannapolis and now US Airways is going to file Chapter 11 yet again.

I don't see how NC couldn't be in play.

Welcome to DU, yellerpup!! :hi: :hi: :hi:

13. Wow. The whole Southeastern seaboard is turning pink.
Amazing. I don't expect Kerry to win these states, but if Bush has to burn money to hold onto Virginia, the Carolinas, and Georgia, he is in very big trouble.
